Video update from an adopter. Who said boys can't learn tricks? In fact this guy starting picking it up and bringing his toy over without prompting.
We have peepers. They just can't keep their eyes open π΄π₯±πͺ
Dwarf hairless female. She'll be going to live with Chris at Mystical Mischief Rattery & Exotics as a pet :)
Itty bitty dwarf baby boy.
Gentle mamas and a baby sheep exploring the world π₯Ί
Rats are really very good at learning bite inhibition. Start them young :) don't jerk back when they are exploring. They do use their teeth to explore, especially as babies, but they can use them gently. Jerking back creates frustration and they use the force of their jaw to hold on. They can easily learn to identify your fingers. These are my adult bucks. Sound up if you want to hear the babies in a nearby cage wanting more π€£
Dasha and Joselyn trying to eat sunflower seeds without waking anyone else up π€£
This is why 80% of the photos I take end up blurry and unusable. Babies do not sit still π€£
Baby sneak peak :) we have roan and roan carriers. Does have been great, and I've been working to remove maternal aggression from this line. Aside from that, health wise, the line is very stable. These are the two litters from this line that I plan on releasing into pet homes, once they temperment test at 5 weeks. Issues only really have shown up in breeding does, and happy with how these two mothers allow me to work around their litters, so definitely moving in the direction we want to be going in! Next step will be taking some roan females and crossing them into my dwarf line. Watch the page for updates and get on the wait list if interested in babies!
