Foundations agility class is now open for registration at Central Florida Dog Sports-DeLand.
Class dates are:
October 14, Oct. 21, October 28, November 4th, November 18th and November 25th.
Class times are 9-10am Tuesday on the above dates. Contact Cheri at [email protected] for additional details and to register for this fun class. Give you dog the best introduction to agility!

Tuesday 9-10AM
FOUNDATIONS -3 SPOTS AVAILABLE
This class teaches the basis of safety on equipment and beginning handling. Open to all dogs new to agility. Dogs younger that 15 month will not be jumping but doing groundwork. I personally start this as young as 4 months ) This class is taught in 6 week sessions.
Tuesday 10-11AM
NOVICE -2 SPOTS AVAILABLE
This class is for dogs that are solid on their foundations, have a contact criteria and are safe on all equipment, they do not have to have weaves yet. Dogs should be able to do sequences consisting of 4-9 obstacles. Are at Novice level or preparing to compete. This is a monthly class beginning in September and ending at the end of May 2026. Students in this class may join our teams competing in AKC League.
Wednesday 9-11am
ADVANCED ALL LEVELS- FULL AT THIS TIME
Open field practice days will be posted here along with skill seminars that will be offered in the Fall and Winter.

Congratulations to all the teams at Central Florida Dog Sports-DeLand!!!! Today we got the awards from Winter League with our Freshman Team leading the way in team points and winning "very cool" AKC League Wine Glasses.
Central Florida Dog Sports Regulation Freshman Team members were: Marina Chaumet & Oliver, Stephanie Hart & Kip, Lisa Holmes & Amos Albert, Jackie Harris & Tilley, Meg DeFore & Coke.
Individual Awards form the Freshman, Sophomore and Elementary teams were;
Annabell Wood & Gertie 3rd place Regulation Elementary Preferred 20" .
Kathleen Smith & Guinness 3rd Place Regulation Elementary 8"
Lisa Holmes & Amos Albert 4th Place Regulation Freshman 24"
Marina Chaumet & Oliver 2nd Place Regulation Freshman 8"
Jackie Harris & Tilley Clean Sweep Award ( 6 clean rounds)

I have a few spots open in FOUNDATIONS AGILITY starting Tuesday February 25th. this Class will meet Tuesdays 9-10am on the following 6 dates: 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25 and 4/1. Cost is $250
This is for dogs that have basic recall. We will work on contact criteria and safety and beginning sequencing. Contact Cheri at [email protected] to sign up

PRIVATE AGILITY LESSONS -AVAILABLE AT SELECT TIMES.
$85 per approximately 30 minutes of AGILITY INSTRUCTION- customized to fit you and your dogs needs.
When you receive your confirmation your requested time/day is reserved.
**GENERAL PROPERTY RULES: Please visit our website at www.centralfladogsports.com for general property rules, directions and parking.
**MAKE-UP POLICY If there is lightning we will cancel and contact you via email or messenger. We will then help you reschedule with a time/date that works best for you. We do not cancel due to rain only.
Bring soft ( not crumbly treats, like cheese) a crate, water and bowl for your dog.

Here is the link for the Ochlockonee River Agility Trial that is in Tallahassee Feb. 21-23, 2025. I have had several people tell me they cant find the premium so here it is. Come join in the fun. It is part of the cluster which has "all the things" going on.

AKC agility judge, a retired coach and have successfully produced students with dogs of many different breeds all the way to a national competition level. I have 3 spots open as of today in foundations agility starting next Tuesday. Come join the fun!
I am taking registration for the Jan Foundations class. The class will be held on Tuesdays 9-10am on the following dates: January 7th -Feb. 11 for a total of 6 sessions. Central Florida Dog Sports is so excited to be offering Saturday morning obedience ( manners) class AND an introduction to rally class Including rally practice for all levels. Stay tuned for times and dates. Classes will begin in September.
