STORY TIME! 📖

Arina (Bark Avenue owner) lives in Deltona and for the last year or so the neighbors behind her house had a husky living in clearly what you call an animal abuse situation - dog was living in a very small crate on a back “covered porch”. Not an actual porch but some cover. There were multiple complaints to animal control and one day the house occupants got evicted and dog has been removed after escaping (or possibly just released).

This morning a husky named Turner had an appointment with Bark Avenue as a part of our donation program to local rescues and shelters in Volusia County, where every adopted dog receives free bath, nail trim and ear cleaning at our shop.

After having a conversation with Steven, his new dad, turns out he adopted Turner from Halifax Humane Society, Inc. where he was residing after being removed from an awful living situation - specifically living in the crate on someone’s porch in Deltona!!!! After exchanging some more Information it became evident that Turner is the dog that was living next to Arina. The amazing work Steven has done with him cannot even be described in full. He has fully renewed coat and gained 30 pounds. We are so honored having Turner at our shop today and knowing his life is so much better than just two short months ago!
