What an absolutely perfect day on the trails. As promised, I said if the weather held after OKC , I'd take some friends on the trails. Lake Rebecca is beautiful this time of year with its golden floor. Made even better by sharing it with good friends!

We said goodbye to OKC once again early this morning. Thank goodness for an extra early start because some things never change.... like our luck with tires! 2 tires on one side of the trailer blew ar one time! Thank goodness we met some very nice people in Perry, OK who met us at the shop to put on 2 new tires and get us on the road again!

While Eppy and I didn't get a ribbon in the WC class, she rode the best she's ever been and I couldn't be more proud of all of our horses! Till next year MGNWC! ❤️

Totally Epic "Eppy" was totally Epic yesterday. She had 2 classes, 1 lady's amateur class with Donna (5th place) and 1 Lady's class with me (6th place) which qualified us both for the WC classes!

When showing at any show, having a horse come up sore and having to make the decision to continue on or pull out is incredibly hard and such a let down...When showing at a show like Morgan Grand Nationals and World Championships, it is the hardest decision ever. After having 2 beautiful tests with Brody, earning them 2 Reserve National Championships, Kenzie and Foxy tried their turn at classical Dressage. After just 1/3 of their test was done, the judge saw something off in Foxy's gait just a little bit a couple of times. She DQ'd them. Sad and frustrated, we had the vet check Foxy out. He cleared her, and we readied her for Kenzie's tests the next morning, including massage! But in warm-up, we noticed she was much more off. She could show, it wasn't noticeable when she moved out. But I'm proud to say Kenzie called it despite show people telling her she could still do her tests. My heart swells to know that our kids put their horses 1st. Brody was scheduled to test on her as well. We did put the western saddle on her to see if that would make a difference. Amazingly it did! She looked much better! But Brody called it and scratched her from her tests. Brody and Foxy were on track to at least win Reserve World Champion, if not World Champion. But he had to complete test 4 and he hadn't done that one yet. I'm super proud of Brody and Kenzie, who I'm sure would have done amazing as well, for caring more about their horse and her health than Roses and Ribbons

In other news, Max (Seasons French Commander GCH) won 2 National Championships and took 3rd in his other 2 tests placing him 3rd in the World Championships this year. Ben (NSS Legendary) won Reserve National Champion in one test and 3rd in his other 2, placing him 3rd in the world in his level as well! Eppy (Totally Epic) and Donna had their first round in the coliseum last night in the Amateur Masters class. A big chaotic class! The Chaos was contagious, and Eppy showed a bit of her sassy side. She will have 2 more chances tomorrow in the Amateur Ladies with Donna and the Open Ladies with Karen.

Searching for the Friesian of your dreams?? We've got her! 2nd Premie Ster KFPS Friesian mare, Isabeau. Sired by Tjalbert 460 and out of Miniese Van Frieisans Pride by Teade 392. Isa is 16.1 hands, super sweet, super willing, and a beautiful mover with a motor! She would excel in the Sport world. Green broke to drive and ride and now back in training after taking time out to be a mom. This mare is so much fun, and so easy on the eyes 😍 located in Delano MN

Absolutely stunning Jerald Fine Harness Buggy. It is beautiful all around. The wood is all in perfect condition, as is the detailing. The cart has a couple of minor paint flaws where it must have gotten scuffed on the top edge where you can't see them - they look like they've been touched up. The only real flaw to this cart is that the chrome needs to be refinished due to rust spots, and it needs a seat. We are quite sure the one we got with it when we bought it is not the right one. However, you are welcome to take it too. It is dark green . Has a shaft cover but needs a full cover. I will be able to bring this cart with us to MGN! If interested pm me. If you're unsure, come by our stalls to see it! Pictures don't do it justice. I have included pictures of the chrome so you can see the blemishes. Asking 6 🥕🥕🥕, OBO.

When I look at this beautiful Friesian filly with curves in all the right places, I start thinking naughty thoughts...the thoughts that say "maybe I need 1 more horse" but I can't buy every cool horse that comes into training no matter how much I like them and I really like this Filly! Celeste is incredibly sweet, perfectly built, and weaned and ready to go to a new home! She's 6 months old and a big girl! And she is a beautiful mover! (Her mom is for sale also! No fault of their own. Family changes dictate their sale)
Celeste is out of a 2nd Premie Ster KFPS Friesian mare, Isabeau and sired by Approved stallion Tjsalle 454.

Impromptu photo shoot with this beautiful Friesian filly yesterday. Celeste is 5 months old and as stunning as can be! Even slightly sun faded, she still embodies the magic and the dream of a beautiful Frieisian. She has excellent conformation, an elegant neck that comes right up off her shoulders, and you should see her move! Sporty and fancy! She could be your Friesian dream come true.. inquiries invited. (her mom is also available for consideration) You might be surprised at how easy it can be to make your dreams a reality!

Northern Lights Dressage 2024 is a wrap! While we didn't add any extra ambitious and athletic moves today, we did take the judges comments from day 1 to heart and worked to clean up problem areas. And according to today's scores and comments we still showed we have "very athletic! " horses and that they can focus their athletic abilities very well with the help of their riders. Super proud of both horses and riders. So much growth at each and every show. While we are hoping to get in one more practice show next month, we will soon be heading to the many arenas at OKC!

We had a great day yesterday at the Northern Lights Dressage Show. We set the bar low with some extra athletic moves that aren't even allowed in freestyle in the first test without breaking pattern but redeemed ourselves with a beautiful and less ambitious moves in the next test! We kept the positive energy vibe flowing all day through our rides. Now on to today's rides!

Fun Friday! Time to have some fun and train at the same time! Kids head back to school next week! Ethan and I had some fun conditioning horses by trotting up the driveway! I'm not sure who had more fun, horses or people!
