Help us in Welcoming Dr. York to the DVC team while Dr. Ellefson is out on maternity leave.

Dr. York graduated from the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She was born and raised on a small beef cattle farm in Iowa and enjoyed the opportunities to work with a wide range of animals growing up. Dr. York comes with a variety of veterinary clinical experience; working over the years as a kennel attendant, receptionist, technician assistant, and veterinary technician prior to attending the College of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys being a general practitioner, although she has a very strong interest in surgical procedures.
Dr. York lives in the NW suburbs with her very patient and loving husband who helps keep her in-check with the number of wayward animals she tries to bring home. Dr. York has two adult children, that she is very proud of. She also has two French Bulldogs (Lulu & Bombur) and two Newfoundlands (Nana & Baloo). Over the years Dr. York has been a Girl Scout leader, church committee chair, school parent volunteer, and a member of the Minnesota Veterinary Response team.
When away from work Dr. York enjoys all things outdoors: boating, hiking with the pups, yard work, and home improvement projects. She also enjoys running, participating in several fun 5K runs annually. Dr. York aspires to run a ½ marathon in each state before her body insists she is “too old” for that kind of fun.
