Lakeland Animal Shelter Amazing Adoption Update

We have gotten both of our babies Toby (formerly Barron) and Sunny (formerly Weasley) from Lakeland about a year apart. They have become best friends and love hanging out together! Sunny is a very playful guy, and Toby is our special one. He has the cutest little head tilt and we fell in love immediately when we saw him! Sunny is our new addition from about a month ago. He is so curious but also such a scaredy cat. They have grown so so close, we are so glad we found these two. 🤎🧡

TANK is running as fast as his little legs can take him!

You may think with a name like Tank he would be a bigger boy, but he ISN’T! Tank is far from that with being less than 15lbs at 7 months old.
Thank is a sweet pup. Plays like a pup, walks like a pup, and cuddles like a pup would. His downfall? He is still working on his house training. We know he will get there.

Meet Zeus!

This pup came to the shelter thin and unsure of everything around him. It was clear he hadn’t been socialized. He was passed around from home to home.
BUT Look at this transformation now though! He is a happy, playful, energetic and most important- GAINED a good amount of weight. Yay Zeus! Even though he would need to gain a little bit more.

Please drop off a bottle or two at the shelter during open hours or even sending to our address below. Feel free to visit and sit with all our amazing cats!

Lakeland Animal Shelter Amazing Adoption Update

My partner and I adopted Mavis (previously Charm) in March of 2025 and she quickly became our heart and joy! She stole our hearts by screaming when we walked into the shelter then sitting on my partner’s knee and we knew she was ours! Now she is HEAVILY spoiled and she knows it! She loves spring toys and running through her Ikea tube and she gets everything she ever could want in life! We always make sure to recommend Lakeland Animal Shelter to others (and may even adopt another kitty soon from them!) and are so grateful to them for our Mavis!

Happy with BOONE!

Boone is a fun-loving, sweet boy who came to the shelter originally as a stray. Unfortunately, due to personal problems, his owner decided to surrender him and his friend Zelda. Zelda went home, and now Boone is excited for the thought of a new home!

Boone likes other dogs, is good with people, loves walks, cuddles, playing with toys, and lots of trail sniffing.
