Got to see Emily and Nahla today for walks. Then a meet and greet with three dogs, two cats, and four birds! Plus two outside cats this family cares for after they were abandoned by previous neighbors. 😢

And then home to be greeted by Dexter, our outdoor feral boy. 🧡

That’s a wrap with Violet, Oliver, and Shango! Violet wins best cuddler award, hands down. Not just up on the bed, but under the covers, with her head on my chest.

Oliver finally helped himself to my lap this afternoon. I love how cats do things on their own time.

And Shango was on the move today! I was cleaning up his food & water area and he was basically running laps around his enclosure the entire time 😂 He can move pretty quickly when he wants to. Such a fun weekend!

May I have your attention please! New client alert 🚨

Three new kitties have joined the MYLO crew. Meet Mew, Jackie Blue, and Lina (not pictured…yet!). Their humans are off to get married this weekend and we get to hang, cuddle, play and relax on the screened in porch…aka cat heaven.

Mew was first to greet me, accept pets, and staked his spot on my feet last night. Jackie Blue is very curious and playful and spent a lot of the evening sniffing all of my belongings. Lina is older and a little shy, but I think we’ll get there soon.

Happy Anniversary to MYLO 🖤🐾🎉!

One year ago today I officially launched MYLO Pet Care after years of casual pet sitting for neighbors and friends. I didn’t really have any expectations going in, there was no pressure to make it happen. I already had a few other part time gigs going, eldercare and childcare, and I was already doing some consistent pet sitting mostly for Montey, Grace (RIP), and Ho**ah.

But I kept wondering what might happen if I gave the pet care more of my attention. So I did. I chose a name, made a logo, business cards, a website and social media pages. Here I am a year later and happy to report I’ve been booked pretty regularly the entire year.

Most of my clients have been via word of mouth so for that I want to thank you all! Thank you for trusting me with your pets and in your homes. Thank you for sharing my little venture with your friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues. I appreciate it every time I get a new referral.

Here’s to my second year! I am looking forward to continuing to care for your pets when you can’t be there. And really my main goal is to meet every furry friend in Monroe County and beyond! I think I can do it. 😂😂

Everybody welcome Peach to the MYLO crew!! She’s got the most beautiful face, fun markings on her nose and is the sweetest, gentlest soul. She wants to be wherever you are, she is unbothered by deer, squirrels or other barking dogs, and she just about lost her mind last night for a Howl-o-ween dog treat. I’ll post them in my stories. Not gonna lie I almost tasted one. Looks just like an Oreo cookie and is pumpkin spice flavored 😂

Had a great mid week stay with Montey, three playful, energetic visits with Nahla, and now I’m spending the weekend with new girl, Peach! More about her in a separate post.

Meeting three new kitties on Wednesday!

I have two meet & greets scheduled. One for tomorrow and one on Monday! Three cats total. Can’t wait to meet them all. 😻 And I may be meeting my first tortoise soon! More on that when it happens. 🐢

All new clients receive a free meet & greet. This gives us all a chance to discuss the needs of the pets, make sure animals and I like each other and that everyone is comfortable.

Even if you don’t have specific dates in mind, we can meet so that when you do need to book you’ll already know if we’re a good match.

Reminder every new client receives a free meet & greet so we all can get a feel for each other and ensure it’s a good match! You do not need to have definite travel dates in mind in order to schedule a meet & greet. 🐾

Last night Emily and I enjoyed a walk on 611 while it’s still closed to traffic. This morning we hit the AT. She is now tuckered out and waiting for her human to return this afternoon. We had a wonderful week! 🐾🩶
