Dogs, cats, birds, etc. do not normally stare at the sun; they heed their natural reflexes not to look (unlike us curious humans). Avoid encouraging your pets to look at the eclips...

With Easter coming up, the grocery stores are filled with beautiful bouquets and centerpieces featuring lilies. Unfortunately, these flowers are deadly to cats. All parts of lilies are toxic to cats, even the pollen! A small exposure can cause kidney failure and death. So this year, skip the lilies and opt for safter flowers like roses, daisies, and orchids. If your cat has been exposed to lilies, seek immediate veterinary care and call Pet Poison Helpline at 1-855-764-7661.

One simple thing you all could help with is sharing word about our local Tornado Relief Fund through the Logan County United Way https://secure.givelively.org/donate/united-way-of-logan-county-inc/indian-lake-tornado-relief-fund. 100% of contributions to this will go to relief and recovery efforts. Our local United Way does incredible work and is highly reputable. The need is exceedingly large though with 900 homes directly impacted (118 completely destroyed). We are looking for teens, entering the 8th - 12th grade, to serve as volunteers for Safety Town. Safety Town volunteers will serve as chaperones for 5 and 6 year olds during the week-long program.
