Halloween is full of fun frights, but it can also pose some sneaky hazards for your furry friends. At Healthy Pets of Houk Road, we want to help you keep your pets safe and stress-free this October 31st! ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ

๐Ÿงก Here are a few Halloween safety tips for pet owners:

๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Watch the Treats:
Chocolate, sugar-free candy (xylitol!), and other goodies can be toxic to pets. Keep the candy bowl out of pawโ€™s reach!

๐Ÿ‘ป Costume Caution:
If your pet wears a costume, make sure it fits comfortably and doesnโ€™t restrict movement, breathing, or vision. And always supervise them while in costume!

๐Ÿšช Trick-or-Treat Traffic:
Doorbell after doorbell can be stressful. Keep pets in a quiet, secure room away from the front door to prevent anxietyโ€”or a sneaky escape!

๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ Decor Dangers:
Be cautious with candles, fake cobwebs, glow sticks, and small decorationsโ€”they can be tempting (and dangerous) for curious pets.

โœจ ID Is a Must:
With extra commotion, pets may dart out unexpectedly. Make sure theyโ€™re microchipped and wearing up-to-date ID tagsโ€”just in case!

This handsome guinea pig came in for his routine nail trim, sporting a gorgeous coat of jet-black hair that would make the King proud. ๐Ÿ–คโœจ
