Cats purr for a variety of reasons. The one people mostly associate with purring is happiness, but cats also may purr when in pain, sick, or scared. They also might purr when trying to calm a potential opponent. The comparison to a human's nervous smile is very interesting.

Dr. Carpenter recommends a 3 step system for making sure lost dogs find their way home:

1. Tag/collar worn at all times with owners cell phone.

2. Microchip. Identifies pet as yours. Helps reunite pet if brought to shelter or vet clinic.

3. GPS tracker. MOST IMPORTANT. If lost can be FOUND.

Cheshire is looking sharp thanks to Boyer Brothers Painting LLC. It was a wonderful experience having them paint the clinic. We were woefully underprepared for their arrival — seeing appointments at the same time painting was happening. Never fear.
