Today we had to say goodbye to one of our own 💔

Delores was a mixture of sweet and spunky who was ready to greet anyone who came through our door. She would keep our feline patients company by sitting on top of their carriers. She loved drinking from the faucet and occasionally the toilet when no one was here. Though her life was short she definitely made her mark on this clinic and will be missed so much. 😥

Yesterday was a puppy filled day! 🤗

All 3 of these pups took some serious bribing to get their pictures, but we got some great ones!

Ivy was so excited to be here, she even piddled on Kassidy 😆 She made up for that after her appointment though with cuddles 🩷

Logan was a smart boy who learned ✌🏼tricks on his first day at his new home and who loved our mini milkbones and scratching at our rug 🩵

Ghost was very stubborn about walking on her own, but she was so patient and she sat perfectly while her pawrents checked out 🩷

It’s been awhile since we’ve made a first visit post!

This little peanut was such a sweet girl and talkative too when she wanted attention! We can’t wait to see her back for the rest of her puppy visits! 💞

Halloween Fun 🐱🎃🐭

If you were in the clinic on Halloween you may have noticed the staff wearing cat ears and Dr. Sterrett wearing mouse ears! We decided to dress up as cats chasing a mouse because that pretty much sums up a day in the life here; us staff members chasing around Dr. Sterrett all day. 😆

Then, we have our Halloween Costume Contest winners! 👏🏼 It was hard to pick just one, so we went ahead and chose the top two.

It is not very often that I personally make a post, but I wanted to remind everyone that the Delphi Fire Department Ham and Bean/Chili Dinner is tonight (NOV 2, 2024) from 4:00-7:30 PM. Please come out for this free-will donation for dine in or carry out to support the department whose members have graciously served and protected our community for years and going across multiple generations. 👨🏼‍🚒🧑🏼‍🚒

Good morning! ☀️

We are hopping on to talk about body suits. Dr. Sterrett wants to address that she does not recommend these during recovery after surgery.

Here’s why :
🔸Incisions should be left open to allow access to air for improved healing
🔸Cloth/bandages hold moisture against the skin causing infection

Slowed healing and/or infection can result in more medications, discomfort, and decreased activity. We always want what is best for you and your pet, so we hope by sharing this information we will avoid these things!

We ended September in a big way!

On Monday, we had the pleasure of helping a chocolate lab mama bring her 11 babies into the world via c-section. Mama and babies are all doing well!

We want to express a big thank you to our clients that were in the clinic during this time and had to wait as it was all hands on deck making sure the delivery went smoothly. We appreciate your patience and understanding. ❤️
