Rabbits aren't “starter pets”—they're high-maintenance, long-term commitments. While healthy adult rabbits will typically use a litterbox to do their business, they do a lot of business—and you will have to keep their box clean by changing it at least every other day.
When left outside in hutches, they can suffer in extreme heat or cold, rain, or snow. Rabbits kept out of sight are often forgotten about and neglected. They can become infested with parasites such as mites, fleas, and intestinal worms. Their accumulated waste attracts flies, which can lead to flystrike.
Breeders and pet stores often fail to mention that rabbits chew incessantly (their teeth never stop growing), so they need constant supervision and bunny-safe chew treats and toys.
Please do a lot of homework before adopting or purchasing a rabbit. They deserve the best from the start 🙌

Meet Maggie, she is a miniature husky at just 35 lbs. She is approx 5 years old and was owner surrendered to a shelter that is overloaded and the dogs are being kept in cages. Maggie is a typical husky in the sense that she is very smart and knows a lot of commands. She is sweet as can be. Maggie is housebroken and crate trained too. She walks great on a leash. Her foster who has her now said she is the perfect dog. We do not know how she is with cats, so she would need to be tested. She is very dominant with other dogs so she would do best as an only dog. She is not aggressive. She would do best with a fenced in yard.

**SENIOR ALERT/FRONT DECLAWED**
Simply stunning! That is the first thought when you see this long-haired calico beauty! Nina was not able to make the move with her owners but is said to be a sweet lady who loved playing gently with the dog in the home. She is front declawed; friendly to her owners; a bit of a couch potato at her age of 12; and loves to play with toys. Nina has never been around children or other cats, so an adult home is recommended. Since Nina has long hair, having her litterbox cleaned often will help to keep her tidy! Such a change in a life of a senior lady. She will need time to adjust in a home and a patient adopter to help make that happen. Nina has tested FIV/Felv negative, and her adoption fee has been prepaid by Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter. She is ready to head to her forever home.

Veronica was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. She was not in the best of shape but they did a great job and got her all fixed up and now she is in a foster home and thriving. They just love her and can't say enough good about her. She is just one year old and 23 lbs. She is a great size and will not be any bigger. We do not know for sure what her mix is but we are guessing lab and saying beagle due to her size but not really sure. She is spayed and up to date on shots. Veronica is a love bug and will love to go to a home where she will be loved and spoiled forever. If you want to meet her, fill out an application. Revel is the last available- Bravery(f/15 lbs), Valor (m/17 lbs) and Revel (m/18 lbs) are 9 weeks old and surrendered to a high kill shelter. Their mom is a PB German Shepherd and dad is a Shepherd mix. They will most likely grow to be large sized adult dogs. The pups are social and happy. As with all puppies this age, they will need all basic puppy training and continued socialization. A fenced in yard is preferred. Pongo is a 2 year old mixed breed dog. He is awesome. He is a happy boy and just wants to please his Human. He is great in the car, and loves going for walks on a leash. He is strong so he needs a good hand at the other end of the leash. He has been to professional training so he knows a lot of commands and well behaved. He would love a fenced in yard to play in. He would love kids who would be at least 12 years of age to play with him. He could by mistake knock them over when they are small. He is housetrained, walks well on a leash and loves to explore. He loves attention so if he was an only pet he would be most happy but he would not mind sharing a home with another dog who would like to play with him. Aspen (black) and Agnes (tan) are beautiful lab mix puppies. They were found in Georgia dumped by a river. They are about 10-12 weeks old and each weigh 12 pounds. They will be medium to large size dogs full grown. They love to run and play! They are typical puppies who will need training and a lot of attention. They are good with other dogs.
