Full house in the kennel. The rest of the month I'm packing dogs in. Izzy and Angel joined ùs for an extended vacation. Both of them settled in great. Katie is staying on the paths I shoveled for her. Kami doesn't mind the snow and will get her laps in. Angel,Teddy and Doc don't seem to mind the snow. Lucy and Huck don't like to stay out long. We just need it to warm up a little bit.

Thanks for stopping in for a spa day Bella and Charlie. The snow has started and Katie is about excited as I am about it. Kami got some laps in today and so did Teddy. Lucy doesn't waste any time outside. Dock and Huck are doing great. I don't think Huck is loving this weather either.

I need to do a photo dump. lol Kiara, Willie, Lynyrd and Bella has said their see ya laters. Kami and Katie joined us yesterday for their extended winter vacation with me. They will be here until the first part of March. Doc and Huck arrived this morning and will be spending some time with me too. Lucy still prefers to come out with me instead of the play yard and that's ok. She listens great. Teddy has been playful. He gets a case of the zoomies everyday. lol Izzy and Angel will be joining us soon.

The farm has had some new babies join us. Sadly a predator stole our first baby during the night. :-( The second baby is doing good and safe as I secured a safer spot for momma and baby. I've included a photo of the new baby.

Una stopped in Sunday for her grooming appointment with me. She was great on the grooming table.

We were spared from getting too much ice this morning. Which is good, we are still icy enough. Bella came out of her kennel this morning and reverted right back to staying in her kennel the rest of the day. Lynyrd and Willie had a good day. Teddy tries so hard to run fast on this icy snow. Kiara doesn't seem to like the slippery snow but she still comes out carefully. Lucy still won't come through the doggy door but, she is good off leash so I just let her out with me. I think we are ready for some warmer weather too.

It's been a busy few days. Yesterday was just miserable trying to play in the rain, sleet and snow. Today was a little crunchy and icy but we soaked up the little bit of sunshine we got. Gretchen, Teddy, Remo, Mini, Milly and Willow all boarding here this weekend. Remo and Mini did say their see ya laters today. Daisy stopped in for a spa day Wednesday evening. Remo had his spa day yesterday. Cedar stopped in this morning for his spa day. Tomorrow Queeny and Gretchen is scheduled for a spa day. I'm currently scheduling grooming the 3rd week of February.
Now that January is over things are picking up. Make sure to get your vacation dates in. I'll double check the schedule tomorrow but I'm pretty sure the kennel is now full until 3rd week in April. Always double check with me though, it never hurts and I'll squeeze dogs where ever I can to try to accommodate.

Thank you for stopping in today for your spa day Gigi. It sure is rewarding when a dog gets comfortable with you grooming them. Gigi used to be really nervous. The first time she was here, I almost had to call mom to come back. I couldn't get her to come to me. We went around and around the table, I tried treats and nothing was working. Finally she gave in and I was able to groom her with caution. Now she jumps on the grooming table and has no issues. Gigi had a great day in the grooming shop with me.

Little Miss Harper left yesterday morning and Remo joined us this afternoon. He settled right in. Willow and Milly are doing great. I've kept a close eye on Willow. She's 14 and I know mom was worried to leave her. She's eating good, goes outside and I haven't seen any issues. Milly even made a new friend today as Remo went up to say hi. Milly didn't once rwct to him. I was suprised.
Mini is doing great. She's playful and has been eating good too.
We are welcoming the sunshine and warmer temps, even though the wind is a little wild.

Bella was the first one out in the play yard this morning! 👏 I've been trying to think of everything to determine the change in her. Wednesday night she came out and since then she refused to go out. Last night I was brainstorming and remembered I moved my shepherd Sadie out of the kennel Thursday. All 3 Catahoula's will run to her kennel as soon as I let them out, exchange some barks and then go about their business. They always have done this. Every time I let any one of the 3 out. Sadie was no longer there for Bella to do this. I put Sadie back in her kennel this morning and wouldn't you know Bella flew out if her kennel and took off right to Sadie. It amazes me something as simple as consistency can affect a dog that much. It's predictably that she will run to Sadie every time I let her out and Sadie wasn't there the past few days. The second I put her back in her kennel, Bella was back to normal. She even let me pet her this morning. Sometimes they just blow my mind. lol I guess we will see if she continues to come out the rest of the day.

We had a decent day! Warmer temps and sunshine. Unfortunately, no progress with Bella. She was a little more aggressive today so I played it safe and choose not to push her today. I did try to get her to come out with Lynyrd but she she's just not interested. Everyone else had a great day. Everyone is eating good and staying warm.

For the first time since working with dogs I looked to the internet for help. I didn't learn anything new but Bella has me stumped. Attempted letting her out with Lynyrd with no luck. Attempted letting her out with Willie and still no luck. She refuses to come out and play. I just hand fed her dinner piece by piece trying to earn her trust. She has no problem taking food from me but is scared to be outside with me. I've even tried taking off my hat. I'm at a loss. Shes been comimg here since she was a pup. I finally blocked her kennel from the inside so she couldn't get back in. Opened her outside kennel door and she went out but, was uncomfortable. I tried hand feeding her outside and she won't come to me, she just can't wait to get back inside her kennel. I've never had any dog react this way. 😞 Guess it will just take patience and more trust building exercises.
Lynyrd had a good day. He tried to be helpful. Willie also had a good day.
Milly and Willow joined us in the kennel this afternoon. Mini also joined us this evening. All 3 settled in good.
Harper has had a hay day. She decided to get into my office trash and shred papers. She reminded me she's still all puppy. lol Outside she runs until she's jumping at the door to get back inside.

Thank you for trusting me with your dogs. I do my very best to make sure they are all comfortable here. I know this isn't home so I at least try to make them feel loved.

Lily, Harper, Rey and Calvin all enjoyed a spa day today. It was nice to be doing something other than thawing water lines. I'm so ready for spring. Lynyrd and Willie seemed to enjoy the snow today though. Bella was in a mood so I didn't get many pictures of her. lol Tomorrow is a new day. Harper arrived today for her first stay with me. She spent most of her time checking out the play yard. Kami and Katie are doing great. They enjoyed the sunshine today. Roxy had her spa day today. I think we are ready for the next artic blast of cold air. I spent yesterday bringing up more wood for the wood boiler. I have extra water for the dogs ready in case pipes freeze. I washed extra blankets today for the dogs. I also have a spare heater ready to go just in case. Our trips outside will be short and sweet.

I have a chamge in the kennel this week and have one opening in the kennel if anyone is in need. As always thank you for trusting me with your pups.

Ari left us this morning. Until next time sweet girl. Bogey and Elvis had a spa day this morning. All freshened up before going home tomorrow. Then Bogey decided to stick his head in the snow today. 😆 Roxy loves to run and jump in the snow piles. Kami also loves running through the snow. Katie tries to stick to the paths I shovel for her. Willie, Lynyrd and Bella left Sunday.They will be back soon. Kami and Katie joined us. Ari arrived Monday and Sasha and Bodhi stopped in for a spa day. Ari settled in quickly. It's cold so our trips outside have been quick but often. Dogs are staying warm and everyone is eating and doing doing good.

Busy weekend! Yesterday I visited Radar for his nail trim and took Ruby on a walk. Bogey, Elvis, Roxy, Lynyrd, Bella and Willie are here playing in the snow with me. Cash stopped in this morning for a spa day. Kami and Katie join us tomorrow. All of the pups are doing great.

Theo stopped in yesterday for grooming. This morning Elliott and Tater stopped in for grooming. Shelby also had her spa day today. Roxy, Kami and Katie joined us in the kennel. Roxy was able to see her best friend Joey today. He saw her here when he pulled in from work and came right out to say hi to her. Kami put some laps in the play yard today. Katie explorered more than I thought she would. She's not a big fan of the cold. Remo always has his nose in the snow. And he has earned himself a crate tonight for bedtime. He has figured out how to remove my doggy door block to keep the cold air out and let's himself out. Mom's biggest worry is him getting cold, so I'm taking preventative measures to ensure he stays warm tonight. Otherwise I know he will be in and out. It's his favorite thing.

I have a kennel that opened up January 30th - February 9th. I orginally posted we were full until February 24th and this just came open so I thought I'd share. UPDATE: Spot filled! Thank you Lisa!

Kicking off this new year strong. The kennel is currently full until February 24th!!! I'm amazed! If you need boarding between now and then always double check with me in case of cancellations or if I can squeeze you in I'll certainly try. 😉

Spring break is also booked full with a waitlist created. (April 2nd- 13th) Cadence is also already reserved for spring break as well.

Book your vacations early to ensure a spot. I have dogs booking into November already.

Also a reminder, as your dog(s) go to the vet for the annual check ups, please send me a copy of their updated vaccinations.

Shelby arrived today for a visit. Remo joins us tomorrow. Elvis, Bogey, Roxy, Lynyrd, Willie and Bella join us this week as well. Grooming is scheduling out about 2 weeks now.

Thank you, thank you for keeping me busy and allowing me to take care of your pups. I am grateful for you and my furry friends.

I hope everyone finishes out the year safely tonight and I wish you a Happy New Year! Thank you for allowing me another year of taking care of your pups. I am truly grateful for all of you who put your trust in me. I am taking the rest of the week off and will be putting all new cots together for the kennel. Happy New Year!

Charlie had a case of the zoomies yesterday! I thought for sure he was going to take me out. lol He's so much fun.

Stella is a hoot. I'm sorry mom. I really do try to keep her from jumping but sometimes she just gets so excited. She was in and out between my legs, jumping with excitement and then the zoomies. At least you'll know she's not depressed here and having a good time.

These pups fill my cup! Frankie does not like Jinxx barking at me. lol

When I promise the kennel isn't always crazy loud, here's proof. Everyone has had breakfast and been outside. They are content for a bit before we go out to play again. I'll post more pictures and updates in a little bit. All are doing good.

For those that see the kennel when it's loud and intimidating, then I promise that they do settle down. Here's my proof. 😊 They can get a little wild but, they all settle down. Or I've completely wore them out already today. lol We're soaking up as much sun as we can and have been outside all day.

Chloe is full of energy, says good morning and is ready to get this Monday morning started. I wish I had her energy but, I haven't even had coffee yet. 🙃

It amazes me that these dogs don't think anything of Badonkadonk carrying on. The donkey isn't happy because his friend Tulsa is stalled after having dental work today. Teddy could of cared less, he was busy with nose work. 😆

All the dogs love Cadence. lol. This is the first time Shasha met Cadence and immediately acted like it was her long lost best friend. ❤️
