🐾 New Faces, New Journeys 🐾

Our hearts (and our house!) are a little fuller right now. We’ve welcomed four new residents into Turning Tails Inc, all currently undergoing behavioral and/or medical evaluations as we learn exactly what each of them needs to thrive.

Meet the crew:
• A handsome 10-month-old yellow Lab with a bright future ahead
• A 2-year-old black and white Chihuahua mix, who came to us as Rico and is now proudly Domino
• A sweet young white cat with black spots finding her footing (no photo, she's camera shy)
• And a tiny new kitten, just starting life’s journey

As always, the first weeks are the heaviest. Supplies, vetting, prevention, and any needed treatment add up quickly.

We’re excited to share that Turning Tails Inc. is now officially partnered with Chewy through their Shelter Program! This partnership allows our supporters to directly send much-needed supplies to the animals in our care, making it easier than ever to help us keep shelves stocked and bellies full. Just like the Amazon Wishlist, every item purchased through our Chewy wishlist goes straight toward the daily care, comfort, and recovery of the pets who rely on us. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for a community that continues to show up for our animals in such meaningful ways. 🐾💙

Meet Rico 🐾

This sweet little gentleman is all about the cuddles once he knows you’re his person. Rico had a rough start, and because of that he’ll do best in a home without small kids. Older children who understand boundaries and can respect his space may be just fine. He needs someone with the patience to teach him that hands are not always too rough.

Rico does well with other dogs around his own size. Larger dogs are still an unknown, and he isn’t bothered by cats at all. He’s 2 years old, neutered, and just waiting on his updated shots to be completed.

As we step into a brand-new year, our hearts are full.

Last year asked everything of us — patience, resilience, faith, and an endless well of love. There were long nights, hard decisions, unexpected hurdles, and moments that tested us to our core. But there were also victories. Quiet healings. Trust rebuilt. Tails that once tucked in fear now wag freely. Lives changed simply because someone chose compassion.

Turning Tails Inc and All 4 Paws exist because of community. Because of people who show up, donate a bag of food, share a post, foster when it’s hard, book an appointment, and believe that every life is worth the effort. You are the reason we keep going, even when the road feels heavy.

As we look ahead, we’re hopeful for a year of growth and grounding. One of our biggest dreams for this next chapter is securing a small facility — a place where adoption events can happen more consistently, where animals can meet their people, and where All 4 Paws can offer nail appointments and services in a stable, accessible space. A place of connection, care, and community under one roof.

This new year, our hope is simple and powerful: stability, stocked shelves, and the ability to say “yes” a little more often. Yes to the scared ones. Yes to the overlooked. Yes to brighter futures built one paw, one promise, one act of kindness at a time.

Thank you for walking this path with us. We don’t take a single step of it for granted.

Today is the last day!!! 🎄🐾

Because of this incredible community, we’ve already been able to bless 8 families with a mix of food, cozy beds, toys, treats, and warm blankets for their pets. Seeing the relief and joy on their faces has been nothing short of magical. 💛

We asked for help wrapping presents and instead got a full-scale "quality control" nap committee. 🎁🐾

They inspected the blanket, approved the wrapping paper, and then unanimously decided the cuteness level was already maxed out—no further assistance required.

Honestly, we tried to beat the cuteness… but when your helpers clock in, curl up, and look this cozy, you just accept defeat and grab more tape. 😅💤

We’ve received some incredible assistance and filled several spots for our holiday drive, and we are so, so grateful. 🐾❤️

We’re officially in the home stretch so everything can be wrapped up and delivered by Christmas Eve. Let’s rally together one more time and help these awesome families and their pets feel a little extra love, joy, and relief this holiday season. A stocked food bowl, a new toy, or a warm blanket can mean one less thing to worry about—and that matters more than we can say.
