As many of you have heard, Alyssa has unfortunately broken her ankle. The doctor is optimistic that she’ll be able to bear weight again within a week or so with the help of a boot, but for now she’s stuck resting while the swelling goes down.

In the meantime, the world doesn’t stop spinning — and neither do I! I’m opening appointments for tomorrow and Friday (12/3 and 12/5) in Deltona, DeBary, and North Sanford.

If your pet is typically cooperative for nail trims, and/or if you’re able to lend a hand with holding and soothing them, please reach out. Your support means the world to us, especially right now, and it helps keep everything moving while Alyssa heals.

We honestly couldn’t make this up if we tried. This morning, right as we were heading out for work, Alyssa stepped on a loose rock, rolled her ankle, and ended up breaking the end of her fibula. The ER was hopeful as it's a fairly simple break, but we won’t know anything for sure until we see ortho — hopefully tomorrow, but no later than Tuesday. We’re taking it one step at a time and trying to keep spirits up.

Unfortunately, today’s income was supposed to go straight to cat supplies and groceries, and we’re now in a really tight spot. We are dangerously low on dry cat and kitten food, and the last of our litter went into the boxes yesterday. The dogs are still well stocked, and we’re incredibly grateful for that blessing.

We’re so humbled by the support this community has always shown us, and we wouldn’t reach out if it weren’t truly needed. If you’re able to help with cat food, kitten food, or litter — even a bag or a box — it would make a world of difference while we get our footing again. Thank you for always being our safety net when life decides to throw those curveballs (or in this case… rocks).

IT LIVES!! 🎉🚗💨

The Honda is officially repaired and running better than ever — and we couldn’t be more relieved!

Thank you all so much for the incredible patience, kindness, and support you’ve shown us through this whole mess. It’s truly humbling, and we’re so grateful for every single one of you.

We’re already working on adjusting schedules and getting everyone we had to miss back on the books. If I haven’t reached out yet, **please shoot us a message!** I don’t want to miss anyone.

I’ll also have our December schedule posted by the end of the day so we can get everything lined up smoothly.

First, we want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and express how incredibly grateful we are for this amazing community. You have lifted us up through some of our hardest moments, and we hope you know how deeply we appreciate each of you.

Unfortunately, the part we hoped would fix the Honda didn’t resolve the issue. We’re still running a few diagnostic tests to see if it’s even reasonably fixable, but at this point it’s looking like the repair costs may exceed what it would take to put a down payment on something newer and more reliable.

Being out of work for two weeks has already pushed us into an incredibly tight spot. Bills are stacking up, we still have animals to care for and kids depending on us every day. Without a working vehicle, we can’t earn income or handle rescue calls, and it’s becoming harder to stay afloat.

With Small Business Saturday and Giving Tuesday right around the corner, we’re hoping and praying that something shifts in our favor. Any support, shares, ideas, or kindness right now means more than we can express.

We have some hopeful news!!

The electric bill is officially paid, and we’re about 95% certain we’ve diagnosed the Pilot’s issue. The part should be here Wednesday, and with the help of a kind gentleman volunteering his time, we’re praying we’ll be back on the road soon. Being out of commission for what will be almost two weeks has been devastating in ways we’re still trying to wrap our heads around.

And the hardest part? The ripple effect.

The having to tell everyone reaching out for appointments, and everyone who scheduled to get fresh touch ups for the holidays, that'd we can't make it. Feeling like we're letting you guys down is gut wrenching and we're so sorry 💜

On top of it all .....right now, we have surrender requests pending for 14 kittens, 5 cats, and 6 dogs, and we’ve had to tell every single one that we can’t help. Not because we don’t want to — but because we don’t have the resources, the mobility, or the cushion to safely take on even one more animal. If we stretch things any further, we put the ones already in our care at risk, and we just can’t do that to them.

It breaks our hearts to say no, especially knowing some of these situations are urgent. This is why having a working vehicle is so critical for us — every breakdown and every delay impacts real lives waiting for help.

We can finally see the light, but we’re not quite there yet. Your support, shares, kindness, and ideas have carried us through one of the tougher weeks we’ve had. We are forever grateful for each and every one of you.

🐾☀️HOPE ON THE HORIZON ☀️🐾

We have some hopeful news to share. A very kind gentleman has volunteered to take a look at the Pilot and do the repair work for only the cost of parts. He even thinks it may not be the catalytic converter after all. We’ll know more about what we’re facing on Saturday, but this small bit of light has truly lifted our spirits.

Thanks to the incredible kindness of this community, we’ve managed to cover all but the last $200 of the bills we needed to pay this week to avoid shutoffs and late fees. That alone is a huge weight off our shoulders.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped — every dollar, every share, every kind message has added up. We are almost to a point where we can stay afloat until the car is fixed, and that is entirely because of you.
