I have very few spots remaining for horse camp
Beginner: 4-5 spots
Intermediate: 1 spot
Advanced: 2 spots
Preschool: 1 spot (with the option to add an afternoon session, making 7 more spots available)

Announcing spring break camps 2023!

Intermediate/advanced group:
M-W April 3-5. 10am-2pm
2 days skill work at Van Zandt arena, Wednesday will be a trail ride day at the Acme location. $240

Beginner-intermediate group:
Th-Sat April 6-8. 12:30-4:00pm
Fun, games and skill building at the Van Zandt arena. $210

* I anticipate only having about six spots available in each group. It will fill up quickly! $50 deposit to reserve a spot.

*we will not have regular lessons this week

Sorry to all of those whose requests for rides and camps that I missed. Between work full time and summer quarter school, it wasn't in the cards. School is done Aug 16th! I am happy to do some trail rides and small riding groups between August 20 and September 15. Let me know what you are looking for, and I will see if we can squeeze it into the schedule :)

It's a bittersweet week. This is my last horse camp week, not just for this year, but for the foreseeable future. I am very excited for the next chapter, pursuing a nursing career, although I will miss those lesson and camp kids! I would like to have everyone plaster this page with photos of all the great memories!

This has definitely been a year of change! A change in marital status, and the acquisition of a new job have limited activities at VZE quite a bit. BUT...the good news, I will still be able to offer some mini camps on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer. Wednesday will be a riding instructional day, and on Thursdays we will have an off site trail ride. Classes will be much smaller than camps have been in the past few years, probably 6-8 riders max. Cost will be $100. I will also be offering the same for spring break week, April 5th and 6th. Contact Sheli to schedule. 360-393-1155

I just found two horses along Highway 9 near Super Road. I could not find an owner or a pasture where they belonged, so I hsuled them to my barn. Small Chestnut in a lime green zebra striped blanket and a brown or black mini and a blue blanket. I reported to 9-1-1. I'm hoping to find the owners! Please pass along.

Intermediate: Mon-Thu, April 4-7, 1-4pm
noon start on Thursday for an off site trail ride

Jr camp: Thurs-Fri, April 7-8, 9:30-11:30am
Ages 3-5, requires a parent helper. $45
4-H showmanship clinic: Fri, Apr 8, 12-2pm $25

Thursday lesson students: the road closed sign is up at highway 9. As usual, this is due to the flooding in Acme. You can get to the barn.

Lesson families: I just found a great deal on helmets for those who had been asking about purchasing their own. I can order some extra for those who are interested. It looks like $30-35 will do it with shipping, or they have an economy model for $25.
