Our mission is to care for and love, vaccinate, spay and neuter all animals brought into our care prior to re-homing into approved and loving homes.

Standard work hours are listed, but we will do our best during non-office hours to take your calls and meet by appointment. As a 501(c)3 Non-Profit, we are working in conjunction with Deming Animal Guardians (DAG) to be the kindest place to bring the unwanted, neglected and homeless animals of Luna County, New Mexico. Deming Animal Guardians (DAG) is an all volunteer, IRS recognized charity that h

as been in existence for 25 years

Our mission is to care for and love, vaccinate, spay and neuter all animals brought into our care prior to re-homing into approved and loving homes. In spaying and neutering before re-homing, we hope to stop the needless cycle of unwanted animals in our community. Any and all animals will be welcome to our sanctuary! Dogs, cats, horses, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, ferrets, birds, llamas, b***o, fish, pigs, reptiles, and basically all of God's creatures. As you can imagine, this is a huge endeavor, but we are confident that our community and our friends will pull together to make this happen before year end. All lives matter. Donations of product, cash and legacy gifts are all appreciated. Should you choose to leave a legacy gift, you can donate a specific sum of money, a percentage of your estate or what’s remaining of your estate after your other beneficiaries have been provided for. Legacy gifts make an incredible impact in savings pets in crisis. A future gift arranged through your estate plan to Deming Animal Guardians Sunshine Haven Intake Project & Rescue (DAGSHIP Rescue) non-profit rescue, provides funding for future pets in our care. Everyone has their own motivations for giving a gift to charity, and everyone that does, shares

Some may not know, but we have a emergency food bank for the public here at DAGSHIP Rescue. To help provide dog and cat food during owners hard times.
Currently our food bank is bare and we are in EXTREME need of dog and cat food. If you have open bags your pups or kitties aren’t liking we can use those also. Anything is appreciated!!!!

Found this baby in front on Tinley Tee Tire running on Columbus hwy in and out of traffic but was finally able to catch her thanks to U-hauls gates!!!

Pupdate on Mia!!
This sweet girl is about 3/4 years old cattle dog mix weighing about 38lbs. Mia has a very calm and docile demeanor. When meeting new people she is a little shy, but it doesn't take very much till she is rubbing against you and wanting more love 💕💕
Mia is good with most other dogs, we do notice she prefers males over females in some cases! We have also noticed she seems to get a little jealous when other animals have the persons attention. Not mean she just pushes her way in, we think that she would do a lot better in a single dog home where the focus is on her. She is also good with cats for the most part, only thing is if they run she'll chase BUT not mean just playful. Once both are acclimated she is bestfriends with the kitty.

Mia has been in foster care and does great with house training and kennel training. Mia is a special girl.

She is Spayed, updated on shots and microchiped
All adoption start off as TRIALS for the family and the pup to make sure it's a good fit 🐾💕

He is now on a trial adoption!

Meet Chiko 💙
This handsome man is about a year old, super sweet and loving guy! Chiko only weighs about 6lbs he is a tiny guy with ALOT of love to give 🥰 In the beginning, he is shy for a few seconds, but once you talk to him and show him that you wanna give him love and pets he is very receptive and appreciates it!! He does good with most other dogs he is protective a little growling if the other dogs does but he’s not mean AT ALL !!
I believe that house training will be really easy for him as he’s been in my office and had a few accidents but every day it’s less and less and he is learning to cry and let me know he has to go!

Neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on shots !

All adoption start off as TRIAL adoptions to make sure it is a good fit with the family and the pup🐾💕

A foster has been found!!!!! Thank you to all those who have shared !!

Meet NOVA!
About 6 months old very docile girl weighing only about 25lbs, believed to be a brindle pitty X as she's a mini. She is currently already on her series of shots and will be getting into the vet for her spay and other vaccines she'll need! Nova came from an unfortunate living situation with many other dogs and is in need of some TLC. We are in search of a foster for this sweet baby. She is great with just about any pup as one of her best friends is an older chiweenie! A very curious girl who just needs time to learn it is okay to trust. NOT MEAN AT ALL!! She wants to engage but just doesn't know how to. We know with foster care she will flourish into a wonderful pup!!

ALL of her food & vet bills will be taken care of. Anything you'll need for her we will provide.

Meet HANK!
This sweet loving guy is about 3 months old believe to be a Boxer, Saint Bernard, and Heeler mix.
Hank is a ball of energy. Always active, plays with every dog and cat he meets🐾He’s a very happy and healthy eater, will take all the toys and stuffed animals and piles them in the living room, sleep most of the night in bed with his foster along with other dogs and cats, pouts when you tell him no, has a super loving side to him as well. He’s a chunk and growing by the day. His favorite things to do is play, eat and sleep and in that order!! He’s been doing so well learning the potty pad at night and goes outside a lot during the day so haven’t had many accidents inside. He lets you know when he has to go. Very smart guy!!!

Meet Athena! This beauty is about 4.5 years old pitbull girl. Athena loves about any person she’s met and does wonderful. With Athena she does prefer to be a single dog!! When she came into our sister reacue she came with her eight babies, who kind of drained her dry feeding all of them. With that she’s kinda has a little bit of a hatred for other dogs. She’s not reactive unless a reaction is brought to her but she does let you know when she’s uncomfortable in a situation. Very smart and happy girl. She does have quite a bit of energy but I know with time and a family to help her focus, she’ll be even more amazing!!! Super sweet and loving girl just waiting for the right family to come in and meet her 🥰 Spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on shots! DAGSHIP Rescue is launching the LOSE WEIGHT-WALK DOGS Club. We meet the first Saturday or the month and sometimes other Saturday mornings (weather permitting). Call or text Diana at 917-273-1734 for info. The dogs will absolutely love it! We have some wonderful walkers come check them out 😊
