I borrowed part of this from another group but it is spot on.

🚨Texas is experiencing an unprecedented dog crisis. Virtually all animal shelters in Texas are overcrowded with dogs right now, and far too many of them are being euthanized every single day. Think in terms of thousands of dogs a day being put to sleep because there's no more space for them. These were people's pets that experienced love, and they have been abandoned. They are terrified and just want someone to love them.

Pet owners are surrendering their dogs, releasing them onto the streets, and in some of the most severe cases, abusing and neglecting them to the point of starvation, torture, and death.

There has never been anything like this before to happen in Texas regarding dogs. We need national exposure from dog lovers across the entire United States, and even the world, to apply pressure to the local governments of each of our cities, and to our elected officials at the state level to adopt new legislation so that we can start to change what's happening. We most likely even need help at the federal level to change this growing issue across the entire country.

🙏 Please do your part and let's start getting this situation fixed in Texas.

🐕 Seven (momma) is the perfect dog. She was adoptable dog of the week on KTEN this past week !!And we are going to be getting her some training to make her even more perfect for anyone interested in her !! She was abandoned in the heat with new born puppies and was the best mom and now she is the best behaved dog!! She deserves her forever home.

She is literally perfect and would do great in any home. She is kennel trained, likes kids and other dogs. Won’t you please consider her.

Happily ever after update ❤️ Sadie was adopted this week and is thriving in her new home. When given a chance these rescue dogs really do adapt well and thrive in homes.

🐕 Sadie's update:......We found out yesterday that Sadie does enjoy the lake. We took her for a walk at the lake yesterday evening just to see how she likes it and she just walked right in the water and seemed like she was excited to explore. I left my phone in the car but next time we go I will definitely take pictures and videos. She did great all night we decided not to kennel her to see how she does and she just got on her bed and slept all night. She likes her bed she’s actually curled up on it right now sleeping while I drink my coffee. She is so well behaved and just fits in great with us. Thank y’all again so much and I will definitely take more pictures as we take her to do more things and just to keep you guys updated in general.

What a great couple of weeks.....our ranch manager Staci said it best. .

"We have had a good couple of weeks at Texoma Dog Ranch! Waylon is being fostered & finally gets to be in a home setting after years at the ranch, Scooby was adopted after 6+ years at the ranch, Sadie was adopted today after being at the ranch over a year & 4 of our newest puppies found forever homes! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 we are definitely happy for them, they found their forever!" Also Moma T whom was with a foster got adopted.

We still have 4 puppies left and as you see from the photos Waylon is doing great in his foster home but is still available for adoption.

Let's get Blue a home !! He is 7 years old should NOT be spending another day in rescue. He needs his own home.

‼️ FOSTER...... If you cannot adopt right now, please consider fostering Blue. It's a short-term commitment and it would give Blue some time in a home environment. You could help find his forever home by opening your home temporarily and fostering him. Dogs are so much more likely to be adopted if they are in a foster home. We provide food, medical, everything needed for fostering.

🐶 Blue is such a sweet and good boy he NEEDS a forever home and out of rescue.

🙏 Please if you have ever considered adoption or fostering now is the time to do it. During the past month I've had a hundred phone calls of people wanting to surrender dogs or her have found stray dogs. We cannot help anymore until we get some adoptions or fosters. Please Texas is in a desperate state right now and we need to get dogs adopted and off the streets.

🛑 You can also stop by the ranch 7 days a week between 12:00 and 2:00 and see our dogs and puppies and adopt. The ranch is located at 278 FM 1753 Denison, TX 75021.

Alright guys.....suggestion time ⁉️

Our adoption events at the nursery and PetSmart doesn't seem to bring in many people. 😢

Give us ideas of places folks out there would like to see some of our adoptable dogs and puppies ❗ (Keep in mind we do have to get permission in order to have our dogs at different locations from the location owner). 🐕

We want to give our dogs and puppies the best chance at adoption 🙏

Thank you to one of our amazing employees. She said this perfectly and I am sharing.

This is 1000% how I feel! We don’t euthanize our dogs instead we rescue dogs from shelters that are on the euthanasia list IF we have room, we are over capacity which means we won’t be able to rescue any more dogs until ours find loving forever homes. Some have been at the rescue for years which is also why we are at full capacity, we love these dogs like our very own & try to give them what they’ve never had but it could be so much better in a actual home with people 24/7 & it definitely takes a village with all of the poor dogs that need help. Don’t get me wrong it’s a lot of responsibility & takes 100% commitment but it is also a reward in the end as well.
