Rankin Brooks Seaside Estuary MH “River”

River passed her sixth consecutive master test this weekend at the Yankee Waterfowl Hunting Retriever Club’s test in Woodstock, Connecticut to earn her Master Hunter Title. River proved herself as a young two year old in some very challenging tests in a short eight week stretch this summer. She is hands down one of the most consistent and talented animals I have ever worked with.

River is a product of our FC AFC Seasides Pompano Jack X Rankin Brooks Dorado MH beeeding.

Our Master dogs showed up this weekend for a very challenging test at the Penobscot Hunting Retriever Club hunt test in Pittsfield Maine. Huge thank you to the club members, judges, and the workers, specifically the Madison wrestling team for working the event making this weekends test possible.

We had an excellent weekend at the Maine Retriever Trial Club double Master hunt test this past weekend in Dixmont, Maine. Huge thank you to the club, workers, judges and the landowners Julie Brown and Dr. Pyne for the use of their property.

We had 7/8 master passes with our dogs. With two new Master Hunter Titles. This was a pretty special accomplishment titling two littermates at the same test out on one of our litters.

Two of our dogs doing big things! Congrats Tim and Dustin!

Please join us in congratulating our newly certified Texas Game Warden K9 Teams, K9 Roux and Game Warden Tim Tokash and K9 Piper & Game Warden Dustin Fleming. Both teams completed an 8-week training course and are now certified in police search and rescue, which consists of tracking, off-lead open area searches, and evidence article recovery. Along with their new certifications, K9 Roux is also certified in human remains detection and K9 Piper is certified in narcotics detection. K9 Roux and K9 Piper are available for Game Wardens, federal, state, county, and local law enforcement agencies. On behalf of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, we would like to thank the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation and our communities for their continued support of our Game Warden K9 Team!

We teamed up with Chad and Maggie Martin and put on a mid-week master test yesterday In Dixmont, Maine. Thank you Peggy Sage Knowles and the Maine Retriever Trial Club for sponsoring this event. Thank you Dr. John Pyne for the use of your property, and HUGE thank you to all of workers that helped the event run smoothly.

We had strong performances and master passes for:

Four month old’s Rough and Rebel

Rough is a male Chesapeake out of our recent Pope MH x Mally MH litter we kept to continue in training. He has a great temperament, looks, and drive.

Rebel is a very well bred male Labrador. He is out of FC AFC Flex x Roxy MNH. He has a very even keel, mellow personality with plenty of drive.

Both will make someone awesome companion, hunting, or hunt test dogs.

- Crate trained-clean and quiet
- Raised in the house with kids and other dogs
- Marker training obedience/place work
- Intro to water,gunfire, and birds
- Retrieving and birds and bumpers reliably

Pope MH x Mally MH puppies have arrived!

We have males available.

After a long 36 hours we landed at the vet with Mally for an emergency C section. After delivering two puppies Mally of was to unable to deliver her third.

We ended up with a litter of nine, with seven males and two females.

Mally and puppies are doing great, she is up and at it being a super mom!

Huge thank you to Dr. Kate and staff at True North Veterinary. We drive by three vets offices to get there for this very reason!

Pope is talented male with plenty of go. He has a great temperament, lives in the house with kids and other dogs. He is a very capable retriever in the hunt test game as a Mater Hunter and spends the fall hunting. Pope weighs in around 90 pounds and he is a product of our Jack QAA MH x Henley MH litter.

Mally is six years old weighing in at 65 pounds. Happy friendly disposition, great in the house, with kids, and other dogs. She is a Master Hunter and has hunted everything from upland birds, sea ducks, and puddle ducks. She is probably one of the sweetest and toughest dogs you will ever meet. I have trained several pups out mallys previous litters and they all have the grit, drive, and temperament to go all the way.

This breeding will produce VERY driven, good looking hunt test and gun dog prospects.These puppies will be able to excel in any direction in either show or fied.

Rankin Brooks Seaside Estuary “River” and owner Mike Marro jammed the Lake Champlain Retriever Club Derby in Morrisville Vermont this weekend!

We are super proud of this duo finishing a tough 26 dog derby. Mike offered to run River when I told him I would be unable to make it to the trial on short notice.

We met in a random parking lot in the pouring rain at 7 am, gave him a 1 minute rundown on how to run multiple marks with her, and turned them loose! Outstanding job Mike!
