Well it has been a week! Close to 4in of much needed rain and our last foal of the season! Lisa has once again outdone herself with this stud colt sired by Gor-Dey Albert! To call him fancy is an understatement for sure.

Albert is an exceptional breeding stallon with a wealth of pedigree and quality. He has an amazing headset, with quality foot, hair and motion. We have been extremely happy with the foals he’s produced for the last 3 years but we are now looking to add some more diversity to our program and we only have room for 2 breeding stallions. He has a great disposition and is very easy and respectful to handle and be around. He will hand breed or pasture breed and is smart and respectful with the mares. In the off season he has been put out with our young gelding and studs without issue.

Albert was Undefeated in 2019 at all 8 shows ending up at the RWF as the Supreme 2019 Weanling as well as 2019 All Canadian Stud Foal.

Pretty proud of this home bred mare. 1 1/2 months before this photo she was out in the field with the other mares. In November my friend Jared messaged me about possibly using some of the mares he had started for me in the spring at Loveland and Denver. Summer was one of them. She ended up in multiple cart classes, team, lead of the four and lead of the 6. Prior to this trip she had never been in the lead of hitch and only been in the cart once. I believe this was her last class of Denver and Kellie said se was tired by this one but still a great shot of a great mare with loads more potential. She is now home and we will be expecting a foal from her shortly.

Unlimited American Pride is a 2020 registered Clydesdale stallion. Sire by H.M.H. Rockin Bentley and out of Grandview Jacks Uma so he has top quality black and bay Genetics. This colt demands attention with wealth of quality and a TON of motion! Unfortunately time and weather have not been on our side as far as getting him in and getting him cleaned up for better pictures. He is started in harness but still green. Unlimited American Pride aka Pride, is maturing nicely. Pride is a 3yr old Rockin Bentley son that’s been enjoying the bachelor pasture this summer with some of our yearling colts and his partner in Crime Gor-Dey Albert aka Rooster.
Never a lonesome or dull moment when trying to fix any with a bunch of clydesdales around. They took turns being helpful…. If helpful is playing in the water dribbling it on me when they can. Lol if you have ever tried to fix something around Clyde’s you understand 🤣🤦🏼♀️. Even when they can’t get to me they watch and follow me like a herd of stalkers… but that’s why they are the best too!
One of these is not like the other!
Reba (the red calf) lost her mom and was raised by the kids in the barn. When she got older we let her loose on the yard and she ended up in the pasture with the mares. Eventually the mares were switched to our front pasture with a few longhorn cows. At that point Reba realized she was not a funny looking little horse… but a COW!!!
For the most part she now stays with the cows but unlike the rest of the cows, the horses let her come in the pen at grain time to eat with them 🤣
The smile says it all…some horses are just better than others! Earlier this year we lost Justice’s 4H mare. She struggled through the summer on a mare I got for myself as a project; who at times can have some quirks/opinions you have to work through, making summer riding a little rough for Justice at times but she stuck with it and worked through the issues.
Fast forward to the end of year 4H ride… we were going out of town for the weekend so I didn’t think much of it because we weren’t going to be home. Last minute we come home early and I’m short a riding horse for myself. Good idea, bad idea I head out to the pasture and Grab Cherry 🍒, one of our driving mares that’s at just 5yrs old is solid as they come and never phased by anything. I throw a saddle on her and hop on and walks off like a champ, never phased by any of it. (Honestly not the first time I’ve done this with a good broke driving horse, so I wasn’t too worried… especially with this mare) 40 minutes later I load her on the trailer and off we go to the trail ride.
The intention was for me to ride her, but shortly in it became evident that Justice’s mare was having a day 🙄despite being worked before we left, so I made the decision to swap horses. Cherry never missed a beat and Justice had a great time… (me lol… I sat the jig the entire ride, mostly at a side pass while doing other fancy unasked for dressage moves 🤦🏼♀️)
Only problem is, now Justice wants a 4H ready clyde mare for next year 😂. Guess I better find some time to do some fine tuning under saddle on one we plan on keeping.
Even funnier we had the biggest and the smallest horses there. Tuff was on Sparky at 12.2h and Justice on Cherry at 17’2. Sparky also lead the pack while Cherry brought up the rear 🤣.
