About Peanut Butter:
Peanut Butter is a senior cat looking for a loving, patient home. At around 10 years old, she has a heart full of love to give, but the shelter environment has been tough on her. Recent stress has made her a bit fractious toward staff, as she struggles to adjust to her surroundings. However, with the right environment and plenty of TLC, we believe she can thrive!

Current Treatment:
Peanut Butter is currently being treated for ringworm, a common fungal infection that is managed with medication. Ringworm is contagious to humans and other animals and can be transmitted through direct contact with an infected person, animal, or contaminated surfaces. This includes petting an infected cat or dog or handling items like bedding, grooming tools, or litter boxes.

Thank You, Alice Alexander Elementary School!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing kids and teachers of Alice Alexander Elementary School for their incredible generosity! Your hard work in preparing and donating personalized gifts for the animals at our shelter truly warms our hearts.

Juliet, our shelter representative (who is currently available for adoption) had the pleasure of tagging along and meeting all the wonderful new friends who contributed to this thoughtful initiative. One of the highlights was seeing Willow's excitement as she received her special gift, which included a cozy blanket, a fun toy, and some delicious treats!

Thank you for showing such love and care for our shelter animals. Your kindness makes a difference in their lives and helps us create a brighter future for them. 🐾❤️

🐾A Thanksgiving Feast to Remember! 🦃

Last week, we were honored to host a very special Thanksgiving celebration at the shelter! With the help of our amazing Mayor, dedicated staff, and incredible volunteers, we prepared and served a delicious meal for our furry residents.

From tasty chicken to a pet-friendly dessert, every animal got a chance to join in the holiday spirit. 🐶🐱Their wagging tails and content purrs said it all - full bellies and happy hearts made for a peaceful afternoon of naps and cuddles💤.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible, and for showing our shelter pets the love and care they deserve. This Thanksgiving, we're grateful for YOU - our community of animal lovers!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate his glow-up? The first photo is the sad little guy upon intake and just look at him last week in the 2nd photo, so much confidence!!

Sweet Nigel arrived at the City of Denton Texas Animal Shelter on October 18th. He is listed as an 8 month old, Border Collie Mix. He is listed as weighing 27 pounds. He is ready to join his forever family and go on some great adventures.
