This little pup loved chocolate too much! Unfortunately, chocolate is toxic to our pets, and we had to make her throw up her goodies. She showed her appreciation by making us some artwork. ❤️

This morning around 6:30am, three 3-4 week old kittens were dropped off outside of our door. We have cameras outside, and abandoning an animal in Texas is AGAINST THE LAW. Please understand that we are not an animal shelter and do not have the staff or capabilities to care for stray animals, especially not pediatric ones. This puts extra strain on our staff and takes the time we need for seeing our clients and patients.

The kittens are safe and being cared for.

Where to bring a pet to be rehomed:

Animal Shelter – If you are bringing your pet to be rehomed at a shelter, you must go to the one within your city limits.

Rescue Groups – You can also get help from animal rescue groups, make sure you research some that specifically pertain to the animal you are rehoming. Some sheltering and rescue organizations may post your pet’s picture and profile on their website as a courtesy listing, while your pet stays in your home. Your local agencies may have other programs to help you rehome your pet.

Ask Family and Friends – Ask your network to see if they might be interested in adding your furry friend to their family.

Post on Social Media – Consider posting your animal on local and animal-specific Facebook Groups to search for potential homes.

Dr. Seymour is expecting! She will be taking maternity leave from May 28, 2024 until July 22, 2024. During this time, you may see a few unfamiliar faces. We have scheduled to have relief doctors to assist Dr. Mawyer and ensure we have the time to see our clients in a timely manner. Please be kind and patient to our staff and doctors that are filling in to help us out. Dr. Seymour will be available periodically to consult on her patients.

We have an account (The Daisy Fund) dedicated to helping our clients who may not be able to afford a live saving procedure for their pet or to a stray that may need some care and doesn't have someone to love them yet. You may remember Roadrash, our last rescue. Unfortunately, we depleted most of our funds for him. We currently have a patient in the hospital that needs some help. She helped herself to a sock or towel that caused an extensive obstruction in her small intestines. The owners are doing what they can, but we would also like to help. Next time you are in, please consider a donation so we can help as many animals and people as possible. We donate a lot of our time, the funds just help us cover cost of materials and medications. A lot of people have questions about the new canine respiratory disease. There is still a lot unknown for both veterinarians and pet owners. I hope this article will help answer some of the questions you may have. If you are concerned, keep your dogs away from heavy traffic areas such as dog parks, day care, boarding, grooming facilities and pet stores. It is also best to make sure your dog is up to date on Bordetella, Parainfluenza and Canine Influenza vaccines. - Dr. Seymour

What Is Reverse Sneezing in Dogs?
