“This is Wesley! Our 4 year old Cattle Dog Mix. We adopted him on June 21ST of 2021. He was 4 months old at the time and lived with his foster parents down in Colorado Springs.

He loves playing fetch at the park, swimming, camping, and the occasional mini powdered donut. Wesley has changed our lives in more ways than we could imagine. We knew how important it was to adopt and we are so happy we found AFOJ!”

Charlotte! 💙

Hi there… I’m Charlotte. I’m a gentle soul with a shy heart, and I’ve been on a bit of a journey lately. I was adopted by my wonderful foster mom who loved me dearly—but now she’s moving to Europe, and sadly, I can’t tag along. So, I’m back on the search for my true forever home… maybe it’s with you?

At first, I might need a little time to warm up—but I promise, I’m worth the wait. Once I trust you, my love runs deep and loyal. I’m crate-trained, potty-trained, and sleep peacefully through the night. I even know some cool tricks like “come,” “sit,” and “shake”! Gold star for me, right?

My favorite things? Sunbathing, zooming around the yard, and rolling in the grass like it’s my personal spa. I’m still building up confidence when walking in busy places, but I’m working on it with the help of a trainer—and I’d really love someone patient who can keep helping me grow.

I’d thrive in a calm home, especially with a confident dog sibling who can help me feel safe and show me the ropes. I might be shy, but my heart is huge, and I’m ready to give it to someone special. Could that someone be you?

“While fostering for A Friend of Jack, I knew Copper was mine the day I picked him up. After nourishing him back to health and battling a pretty severe bout of separation anxiety, our bond could not be stronger. Now, he loves sniffing and rolling in the grass, playing fetch with his friends, hiking and even skiing! His favorite things are snuggling, chasing bunnies and getting treats from Mom. From city to mountain dog, Copper is thriving and I couldn’t imagine life without him.

I am forever grateful for a friend of Jack for uniting me with my forever friend.”

Samara!

Meet Sam (short for Samara) — the last of her litter still waiting for a forever home 💔 This caramel-dipped Lab Mix is equal parts playful and snuggly. She loves wrestling with her foster brother, tug-of-war, and curling up for cozy naps. Sam is crate trained, potty trained, and treat motivated (a star student in training class!).

She made her way from Alabama to Colorado in hopes of finding her people… could that be you? 💕

Starburst! ⭐️

Meet Starburst! This mama Lab mix is fully crate and house trained, sleeping soundly beside you in her own bed all night long. On walks she’s polite and eager to please; she already heels nicely and is learning not to pull with gentle reminders.

Starburst plays well with others, no food or toy guarding here, and she’s a champ both on- and off-leash with canine friends. She adores kids, happily alternating between cuddle sessions on the couch and playful wrestling matches with her foster sisters.

TAKE ME HOME TUESDAY is presented to you by…

ZUBER! ⭐️

Hey there, I’m Zuber – but you can call me Zuber Duber if you want to add a little flair! I’m a happy-go-lucky guy who came all the way from sunny LA to lend a paw and make room for some pups displaced by those tough fires. Now that I’m here, I’m all about living my best life…but I still haven’t found my forever home!

I’m a total sweetheart who gets along with everyone – people, dogs, you name it! I’m having a blast hanging out with my foster family’s dog and also loving my time as the solo pup. I’ve been busy learning a lot of cool stuff, like sit, stay, come, leave it – I’m basically a pro! I even mastered potty training, crate training, and loose leash walks (take that, leash!).

I’m getting more and more confident every day and love being part of a calm, happy home. My foster folks tell me I’m doing so well – no pacing, just lounging and loving life. I’m also totally the cuddling type! I’ll happily snuggle up next to you for some quality bonding time (I’m basically a pillow with paws).

I’m a super active guy with a ton of energy, so if you’re into running, hiking, or just going on epic adventures, I’m your guy! I might have more stamina than my foster parent when we run, so I’d be great for anyone who needs a buddy to keep up.
I’m not into jumping, barking, or chewing up stuff (I like to keep it classy), but I do love playing treasure hunt. Find a fun stick, toy, or anything and I’m on it! I’d be so happy in a family that loves hanging out, playing, and getting me out for regular exercise – and don’t worry, I’ll keep you company every step of the way.

If you think you’re ready for a loving, energetic, and fun companion, let’s go on an adventure together! I can’t wait to meet you!

This 6-month-old micro pittie/American Bully mix is as sweet as they come—with a heart-shaped nose to prove it! Nena is a cuddly, playful pup with a coat that’s just as unique as her personality—she’s got cow-like spots and the softest pink undertones that make her impossible to miss.

Nena is already potty trained and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She’s still building her confidence on leash walks, but she’s a fast learner and will happily follow your lead—literally. She loves being close, often acting like your little shadow around the house. Whether she’s sunbathing, snuggling on the couch, or trotting around with a toy, Nena brings a calm, loving energy wherever she goes.
