Good thoughts and prayers needed for my Journey girl. She is having an emergency spay today due to developing Pyometra- a deadly uterine condition caused usually by hormonal changes. She developed this over her spring breeding in May which was treated successfully. I thought and was hopeful at that time it was a one time fluke, as her first couple cycles and first breeding went great!Now that her cycle is ramping up again and she is hormonal, it’s happening again and this time made her very sick. In her best interest and to save her life, she will be spayed today and retired from breeding as her body just can’t handle the hormone shift and I never want her to go through this again.

Thankful for our amazing vet for squeezing her in today and rearranging their afternoon to take care of the procedure Pickaroon Animal Hospital.

Send her all the healing thoughts 🙏🏻🥹❤️

Dr Patterson will be out of town July 31st-Aug 4th at a Veterinary Conference.

Staff will be in the office filling medications and doing technician appointments as needed July 31st - Aug 2nd. If you need additional help during this time, we will be sending pets to Full Circle Veterinary Care (9705875140) and Royal Vista Vet Specialist (9708255975) for emergency needs.

Dr Patterson will be OUT OF TOWN July 3rd-5th.
We will have staff here for medication refills, toenail trims and technician approved injections.
All other emergencies/appointments will be sent to Full Circle Veterinary Care or Royal Vista Vet Specialist while she is away.

Linus decided that he wanted to shadow Mavis today since he was in to have his ears hematomas repaired. It definitely helped him open up! He worked on social skills and walking on a leash as well as snuggling with surgery patients. Hopefully he finds a home with a friend because this sweetie would really love one.

Digi Pix Signs to the rescue!!! The first temporary sign our wonderful bank gave us broke in the wind. When they sent the replacement, it didnt fit the frame we had saved. The amazing guys a Digi-Pix trimmed the new sign beautifully and put it in the frame for us. So thankful to have them as neighbors.

Veterinary Technician/Tech Assistant:

Seeking a full-part time Veterinary Technician or Tech Assistant for our 2- doctor small animal/exotics practice in Windsor, Colorado. We are a newer practice that is growing fast and need a dependable team member who can keep up with our fast-paced work environment.

Good Customer Service is a must, as all team members are expected to be able to answer phones and work with clients. Based on staffing, team members may also be asked to help work the front desk in reception. We pride ourselves in being a supportive environment where we try to have fun while working hard. Work-life balance is also important to us.

Job duties include but are not limited to; writing medical notes, performing blood draws, administering IV's, giving vaccinations, SQ injections, placing catheters, running in-house diagnostics, filling prescriptions, patient wellness assessment, ability to provide client education, holding for exams, induction and monitoring of anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, support for high volume spay/neuter with rescue animals, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.

Experience much preferred.
