The reverse scallop braid is an elegant and eye-catching style that showcases both traditional button braids and a unique scallop design. While it may look intricate, it's easier than it looks!

1. Prep the mane: Start with a clean mane—our Rosemary Radiance shampoo cuts down on dander and grime. Skip conditioner. Brush out any tangles.
2. Section the Mane into 1 to 1 ½-inch uniform sections. For the sake of clarity, we’re working on the left side of the neck.
3. Apply the Braid Stick to both sides of each section and down the length of the hair. This will make it easier to handle, and prevent flyaways, ensuring a neat finish.
4. Start Braiding each section tightly, maintaining tension by holding your thumb over the cross of the braid. Secure each braid with a band at the bottom, allowing the braids to hang down while you work on the next.
5: Tuck the ends up into the braid, securing them with an additional rubber band.
6: Create the Reverse Scallop by using a pull-through tool to pull the bottom of the braid through the top of the braid on the opposite side of the crest, and repeat, working all the way down the line.
7: To create the scallop effect, pull the end of the braid up to form a small bump, about the size of your thumb’s first knuckle, on the left side of the neck, and the rest of the braid hanging over the right side of the neck.
8: Connect the Braids: Using the pull-through tool, pull the end of the braid into the “button” of the next braid, going back through the hole you created in previous steps. Pinch the combined braid tightly to secure the end within the bump, while you pull the end of that braid to the back of the neck. Continue this process down the neck, securing each connection with a rubber band.
9: Finish the Style: At the last braid, fold it over twice to create a secure button braid that will hold the tail of the previous braid in place. Trim any loose ends to complete the look.
