2025! New year. Same us—- but figured I should re-introduce myself:
I’m Gretchen 👋🏻 & this is my rescue dog/ LOML, Hatch 🐾. I am a Certified Small Animal Massage Therapist & Veterinary C*nnabis Guide. I offer mobile dog massage, CBD consults & other holistic modalities.

I started ‘the knotty k9’ just over 3 yrs. ago 😅 to honor the life of my 3-legged best friend, Mogul. Mogul was a difficult dog behaviorally & physically. When he was diagnosed w/ bone cancer I opted to have his leg amputated to remove the pain to keep him happier & give him the best quality of life I could for the remainder of his days. This journey of ours opened my eyes to the world of holistic dog care—- treating the “whole” (mind & body) vs. just treating the symptoms or individual parts. (When combined, Eastern & Western medicine complement each other & can treat conditions more effectively).
When Mogul left his earthly body I decided to change careers & throw myself into small animal massage school. I haven’t looked back since! 😃
My mission is to use my knowledge, skills & touch to help improve your dogs health, happiness & well-being (which in turn can strengthen/ deepen their connection with YOU). I am mobile to make your life easier & your dog most comfortable.
I have so LOVED getting to know you & your furry family members these past few years. Thank you for supporting my small biz dream thus far. I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us & to get to work w/ more of you & your pooches! 💗

Happy NYE to everyone! Are you and your pups prepared for tonight’s festivities?
Who else is staying in and holding the fort down with their favorite furry partners in crime?!🙋🏼‍♀️
Here’s some tips to keep your dog safe and comfortable tonight:

•Be sure to have your dogs exercised BEFORE the party starts and keep them INSIDE tonight. (Make sure tags and chips are up-to-date).

•If you use CBD, dose at least 30-min. before “event” (and again before fireworks 🎆).

•Mental stimulation, toys and background noise can really help for those that are anxious.

*** A little MASSAGE and some passive touch can help relax their tense little muscles! ***

Turkey Day is one week away!😱 Here’s some safety tips to keep in mind for our furry family members:

Things you can share:
•Turkey meat (no bones or skin) 🦃
•Potatoes (sweet & white without the fixin’s) 🥔🍠
•Cranberries (no sugar added)
•Apples (no seeds or core) 🍎
•Carrots & green beans 🥕🫛
•Plain pumpkin 🎃

As always, be sure they are wearing their ID tags and the info is up-to-date, esp. if there’s going to be a lot of foot traffic in and out.

Secure garbage cans at all times! 🗑️

⚠️Halloween Dangers for our furry family members:

•Chocolate: contains a chemical called theobromine, which can be poisonous to dogs, cats, rodents and rabbits. The darker the chocolate, the more theobromine it contains!🍫

•Sweets: in large quantities may cause pancreatitis.

•Sugar-free sweets: can contain artificial sweeteners [i.e.: xylitol / “birch sugar”] that can cause liver failure! ‼️

•Choking risks: decorations, costumes and wrappers.

•Carved pumpkins:🎃 keep all candles and candle-lit pumpkins away as they could burn your dog or start a fire🔥!

•Trick-or-treaters: frequent calls to the door can cause anxiety or stress. Costumes can be scary. Dogs can bolt when opening the door. Keep them in a quiet, safe place and consider leaving them home when trick-or-treating / walking them at a different hour. *Make sure microchips and tags are up-to-date.*
