Real life story… Doing deliveries this morning. Left a car door open for a few minutes to run to the client and give them a mushroom box.

Guess WHAT??? while the car door was open raccoon got in and went for Lion’s Mane that was packaged for our next client. Took them all😂😂😂

This darn raccoon is a connoisseur))

Ever wondered how MarsRoom mushrooms got its name?

Our co-founder is a huge fan of the space exploration and the aerospace industry.

And guess what, mushrooms can be grown in closed, controlled environments like those found in spacecraft or space stations. This makes them a promising candidate for space food and a sustainable source of nutrition for astronauts on long missions.

Moreover, mushrooms have been studied for their potential to break down and recycle waste materials, such as plant matter and human waste. This could be an important part of developing closed-loop systems for waste management in space, which would reduce the need for resupply missions and make long-term space travel more sustainable.

We are so excited that our founder Aleksandr Korshunov was able to fullfill one of his dreams last month and visit the Boca Chica launch site the week of 4/20!

The entire facility in Boca Chica is a testament to the ingenuity and determination of the SpaceX team. If you ever have the chance to visit, he highly recommends it.

We are planning a company trip to there for a second Super Heavy and Starship launch this summer.

Enoki mushrooms, sometimes also called golden needle mushrooms, lily mushrooms, or enokitake, are a type of edible fungus, Flammulina velutipes, that grows naturally on the stumps of trees or can be cultivated.

They are a long, thin mushroom with a mild flavor and crunchy texture, which are popular in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean cuisines. They're typically sold in clusters and easy and quick to cook and go well in soups and stews, stir-frys, hot pots, noodle dishes such as ramen and soba, as well as omelets, rice dishes, sushi, spring rolls, and curries. Bite-sized bundles of enoki mushrooms are sometimes wrapped in bacon, grilled, and then served in a spicy sauce. They can also be served fresh in salads.

We are excited to introduce you to our friends at Wispy Greens! In honor of the National Homemade Soup Day (February 4th) here is our favorite mushroom soup recipe!

Ingredients (serves 4-6):

2 tbs Olive or avocado oil or butter
1 lb of mushrooms (any kind) medium sliced
½ of white or yellow onion
3 potatoes
Handful of shredded carrots
Water or any kind of broth
Salt, pepper, paprika, fresh chives or green onions, minced garlic (optional), shallots (optional)

Sauté the mushrooms (cut into 1/2 to 2/3 of an inch), stirring occasionally, 10-15 minutes. Closer to the end – add paprika, curry or any spices you like. Add a bit of salt. Add desired amount of water or broth. Then simmer them for about 20-30 min and add potatoes and shredded carrots. Separately sauté finely chopped onions, add to the soup at any time. Cook until potatoes and carrots are done. Add a lot of greens (cilantro, parsley, dill). Serve hot, with a dash of sour cream (optional) and Enjoy!

Optional twists:

- Any kind of spices you like. Pretty much everything works
- Rice or buckwheat (previously cooked) can be added to the soup to make it more of a meal
- Soup can be put through the blender/food processor. We like ours with some chunks still in there
