She is always willing to jump in and help wherever she can. Not just with the patients but also with ways to make the hospital flow and productivity better. Her attention to detail and patient care is outstanding. Thank you so much for being you and for everything you do. We hope you stick around for a long time. We do not know how we got by before without you! 💙

Hicup came in for decreased activity and appetite, and there was concern for reproductive disease based on her examination. She underwent a spay and did very well under anesthesia. Fortunately, the biopsy of her reproductive tract returned as normal, and she looked great at the time of her recheck. Her owner says that she’s been more active and is eating normally again! Thank you for coming in, Hicup! 💙

Did you know birds and rabbits can be microchipped? 🤔 Exotic pets like birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, other small mammals, and even larger amphibians can all be microchipped! Do you have a reptile who brumates? 🤔 Brumation in reptiles and amphibians is similar to hibernation in mammals!

Brumation is expected and healthy for some species of reptile. However, as they slow down their metabolism and immune system, they can be vulnerable to disease. We recommend a wellness examination and parasite check in the fall to ensure your pets are healthy for their winter slumber.

Not all species of reptile brumate — please give us a call to schedule an appointment or for more information if you are not sure about your pet! 💙

Pete is a 3 year old male Swordtail fish who presented to us with a growth on his body.

We took a small biopsy of the abnormal tissue at that time and it ended up coming back as a soft tissue sarcoma. These have been documented in fish before and are typically locally invasive. Since Pete is so small, we elected to monitor the sarcoma for any buoyancy issues in the future.

Pete ended up coming back to see us to have the mass debulked with Dr. Lykins, since it grew larger. Pete did well during his procedure and we debrided/debulked the mass. Pete’s owner has been fantastic and is very dedicated to his care! 💙

𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓: 𝑺𝒆𝒏! 🤩 Sen is the Phoenix hospital’s shining star for the month of October. Sen has kept an open mind with all the changes going on around here. But most importantly, she’s kept a positive attitude about the whole situation. From offering to cover full reception shifts by herself, to teaching a brand-new TA, to suggesting new ways to do her job, Sen really communicates effectively and works to help out the whole team as best she can. Doing all of this while also balancing being in school, Sen you are amazing, and we appreciate you being part of our team! 💙

His posts are engaging and inspiring to not only our clients, but also to our community of veterinary professionals and our team. Through Malik, our Core Values shine through in every project. Furthermore, Malik acts with integrity and compassion when responding to tough situations on our social accounts. He travels to the hospitals, communicating effectively and building relationships with our staff and to conferences communicating and networking with veterinary professionals. Sometimes a vision for a project might change at the last minute and Malik accepts the changes with an open mind, positive attitude and a smile. 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓: 𝑨𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 🤩 Avery deserves this Shining Star Award for emanating all of our Core Values. In the 3 short months that Avery has been with AZEAH, he has demonstrated a great deal of compassion and drive. His patient care, follow through, positivity and can-do attitude are worthy of recognition and praise at every turn. Being open-minded and eager to learn are just some of the qualities that make Avery stand out! He is always cleaning, organizing and bringing ideas for improvement, not to mention, nobody can make a stack of towels look like art the way Avery can! In the last 3 months, Avery has completed his TA training, passed the VTNE, started technician training and is expecting to receive his CVT soon! Congratulations Avery!!
