Have we met? -

Although the Table Urban Farm has been around for almost 14 years, it feels like time to reintroduce ourselves. Over time people come and go and some of you may be wondering who we are and how we operate. So this note is to say, "Hello, it's nice to meet you!" And as we approach Thanksgiving Day, we...

Spread the love. I scooped up this compost yesterday from another farmer. He used it for growing shoots and greens, and I'm reusing it to feed my soil for next season. Come spread some love in the garden with us on Sunday: Thanksgiving for the Soil. 2 p.m. 2100 S. Clay St.

Don't forget about our garden celebration of thanks, this Sunday afternoon. We hope to see you there!

With your donations, we can purchase seeds like this locally grown garlic from Fleischer Family Farm.
And today a multicultural community worked shoulder to shoulder at our Clay St. Garden at DPD #4 planting garlic and talking about cultures and how we can give back to the soil this fall. You can support The Table Urban Farm's work for community, nourishment and grace by donating at www.denvertable.org

In 2011, The Table Urban Farm began with a mission to nourish and support our Denver community, and in 2019, we birthed the Table Public House to expand that vision. Every cup of coffee, craft beer, and delicious meal you enjoy at Table Public House directly supports our Urban Farm, where we donate 100% of the produce grown to local partners and communities in need.

Now, we’re a little more than two weeks since we purchased the property that’s become a hub for our mission, and we can use your help to eliminate our $500,000 loan. By doing so, we can continue to grow and give back in even bigger ways. Every bit helps us secure a lasting future of community, nourishment, and grace.

We'll be sharing videos the next few weeks from volunteers and supporters of the Table Urban Farm/Table Public House. We’re so grateful for those able to donate, but if that’s not possible, there are plenty of other ways to support us! Share our posts, volunteer at the Urban Farm, or simply come hang out with us at Table Public House. Every bit of support makes a difference!

Our Feasting community was grateful for this opportunity. We also enjoyed making a little cider. The concept of gleaning has roots in scripture. This opportunity nudged to think about gleaning today, the impact of food waste on humans and the environment, and how we share resources.

Today's Citywide Glean Team focus is on The Table. We appreciate Jeanine Kopaska Broek rounding up her Feasting Group to help wrangle apples last Saturday morning. Their team's younger members accounted for the majority of our kid volunteers. What a great way to engage youth. Their summer ambassador, Emily, rounded up a team of DU students for The Table's second team. They covered 4 trees in just 3 hours, one being a few miles away from the others.

The Table could use some volunteers over the next week or so to help take down a few of their gardens. Check out their schedule at:

The garden at Clay St is common ground for community engagement. Yesterday we met some new students on their way to school. They tasted raspberries, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and peppers. Neighbors came through and helped with the harvest. The new police academy recruits visited the garden to hear about the garden fosters wellness, community building, access to healthy food, and mental health.
