is a volunteer-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in Northern Colorado and the Greater Denver Metro area committed to protecting and improving the lives of abandoned, abused, rescued, and surrendered Dachshunds and which is supported entirely by donations, grants and fundraisers. VISION STATEMENT
•To provide temporary shelter in a safe, caring foster home to stray, abandon

ed, abused, surrendered and discarded commercial breeding dogs for the purpose of finding permanent suitable new homes;
•To provide spay and neuter services and any necessary medical care to those Dachshunds in our care;
•To work with area rescues, shelters and humane organizations to develop a solid network of volunteers and supporters in order to create a better place for homeless Dachshunds;
•To promote public awareness and education of pet overpopulation, large commercial breeding facilities, health and wellness of our pet population and to educate on the value of senior, rescued and special needs Dachshunds.

Join us for a paws-itively fun evening at the Mile High Dachshunds Rescue Doxie Dash on Ice! This exciting fundraiser will be held during the Colorado Eagles Ice Hockey Game at the Blue Arena in Loveland, CO on:
📅 Tuesday, March 18, 2025
⏰ Doors open at 6:00 PM | Hockey Game starts at 7:05 PM
🐶 The Doxie Dash will take place during the First Intermission (right after the 1st period of the game)!
Details:
✨ Only one fun race with approximately 20 racers.
✨ Each racer gets two free tickets for the game (additional tickets available for $23).
✨ Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
✨ Participants must arrive by 6:00 PM with their x-pen or crate for their dog.
🔴 Important: To participate, you must make a commitment by February 7, 2025 to secure your spot!

We have an update on Carmie today.
It was a big day for her as she was spayed and had a dental.

She only lost one tooth and is now recovering from her spay.

It has been a long journey for Carmie from the day, we brought her into the rescue then delivering her puppies, raising her puppies for eight weeks, having a round of mastitis, and now her spay and dental.

She has been such a wonderful dog and such a trooper throughout this whole process.
We are thrilled to announce that Carmie has found her forever home with her Foster.
She’ll be pampered and loved for the rest of her life🥰🥰🥰🥰

Many of you have asked for an update on the Puppies.
They will receive their last Vaccinations the first week of Feb and then will be off to their fosters for socialization and additional training.
They will stay with these fosters until they are spayed and neutered in May.
We have decided to follow our veterinarians advice to make sure that they have achieved most of their growth before their spayed and neutered. Hopefully this will help and prevention of any joint disease that may occur for them.

Will keep you updated from time to time about their status.
At this time, they are not available for adoption, so please do not fill out any applications as they will not be processed.
Thanks to all of you who have continued to support the veterinary costs for these puppies.

We urgently need foster homes for adorable Dachshunds that are being surrendered. Our little wiener dogs are looking for a temporary place to call home, and we need YOU to help make that happen!

We are specifically seeking fosters to help dogs who need to be in homes that 🏡 Have no other dogs, 👶 Have no small children however we do need all the help we can get.

If you have a loving heart and a safe environment, you could make a huge difference in the life of a Dachshund in need. BIDDING HAS STARTED

Michelle, one of our volunteers is an accomplished seamstress and quilter.

She made this beautiful Christmas quilt for us to auction to help raise money for Carmies surgical procedures and her puppies medical care.

This beautiful quilt is 50 inches long and 43 inches wide.

The stitching pattern throughout the quilt is in the shape of adorable dog paws.

Take a close look at this magnificent piece of art.

Very suitable for a wall hanging or a beautiful decor piece anywhere in your home.

The auction will start on Monday, December 2 at 8 amending on Friday, December 6 at 8 PM mountain West time. Some of you have wondered why Carmie has not been available for adoption. She came to us pregnant and we wanted to wait to announce the puppies until all were doing wellCarmie is doing well but did have mastitis, which she has recovered. She has been seeing the reproductive Veterinarians specialists at Colorado Veterinary Speciality durning her pregnancy and post delivery. She will need additional care after the puppies are weened which we will have done , and this will be her last litter.
She will not be available for adoption for quite some time.
We would like to introduce the Doxie Ranch 6. Group named after her foster family. They are doing great and will keep you all updated. We will absolutely not accept any applications on these puppies until they are ready to go. They're names are Luna, Cody, Milo, Daisy, Roxy, and Benny
