Good afternoon! Boy, COVID sure did keep us away for far too long. Here's a case we helped a few months ago that we'd like to tell you about. This is Baloo, a 4yo Husky who was admitted to the hospital with a possible foreign body. After many tests and a scope, Baloo was diagnosed with a dilated esophagus. The owners thought that they were going to lose their pup at such a young age. Thanks to the Animal Care Foundation of Colorado, we were able to assist in Baloo's life saving surgery. He is now happy and healthy and reunited with his little sister at home. We also wanted to mention that Dad is Colin Van Wicklen, NCAA Champion gymnast and World Championship gymnastic team member for the USA! Glad we could help!

We are making up for lost time here! Here's another furry family member that we recently were able to help. This is "Mickey," a 6 year-old King Charles Cavalier who needed extracapsular repair to relieve the pain he's been feeling. His mom is on a very limited income and Mickey is her pride and joy. The Animal Care Foundation of Colorado was happy to step in and assist with Mickey's surgery. Here's to an amazing recovery, Mickey!

We've been out of touch for awhile - so sorry! We've missed all of our friends! Here's a little furry boy we recently helped. This is "Socks," a 6 month-old Blue Russian Tuxedo who got stuck in between the bars on a staircase and luxated and fractured his right hip. Immediate surgery was necessary to get this baby boy back to his loving family and the Animal Care Foundation of Colorado was happy to assist! Stay away from those staircases, Socks! =)

It's been awhile since we've posted and we've missed you! We're still helping those who need us - here's one we helped recently! "Boise" is an 11 year-old Mixed Breed who needed oral surgery from Board-Certified Veterinary Dentist, Dr. Donald Beebe. Apex Dog and Cat Dentistry approached the Animal Care Foundation of Colorado to assist with Boise's procedure and we were happy to help! Boise is now "all smiles" after visiting with Dr. Beebe and getting the necessary treatment. Smile on, Boise!

Summer is in full swing and the Animal Care Foundation of Colorado is busy helping animals in need. This is "Ziska," a Husky Mix who needed VRCC surgery to repair a fracture. The owners are retired and on a fixed income, so the ACF was more than happy to step in with financial assistance. Looking forward to a full recovery for Ziska!

Here's another recent beneficiary of the Animal Care Foundation of Colorado. "Buddy" came in with a suspected diagnosis of Addison's requiring 24 hour hospitalization, ACTH Stim Testing, fluids, and medications. The owner was recently in a car accident, so Buddy's "grandma" has been caring for him. We are happy to help Buddy and his family on their road to recovery!

The Animal Care Foundation of Colorado was happy to assist "Pennie," a 6 year-old Basset Hound who came to see VRCC Oncology for treatment of lymphoma. We're hoping for a good course of treatment and quality of life for Pennie!
