Visitors and guests welcome during business hours. Founded in 1982 as the Animal Rescue and Adoption Society (ARAS), the newly re-branded Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue is a non-profit cat shelter dedicated to providing a home, veterinary care and adoptions for homeless, abused, abandoned and neglected cats and kittens. Existing solely on public donations and fees from memberships, Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue relies on the dedicated support of its members, volunteers, staff and board members.

Adoption Update: Gemma & Sebastian (formerly Chloe & Cosmo)!

A few weeks after losing her beloved 21-year-old cat, this adopter opened her heart to two RMFR kitties who were randomly paired together... and three months later, it's clear they were meant to be!

Sebastian is the household adventurer. Always into something (usually water), sprinting around with coil toys and his tiny hummingbird, and snuggling hard once he's finally tired.

Gemma, a little older and slower to trust, has blossomed into the sweetest observer. She spends her days bird-watching, swatting her mouse toys, playing golf with a literal golf ball, and occasionally showing her little brother who's boss.

Together, they've found safety, softness, a little bit of chaos, and a family that adores them. Their adopter says she's grateful for their love and curiosity, and is excited to watch their bond grow even stronger!

If you want a roommate who minds his business, respects quiet hours, and only asks for occasional pets, Matty's your guy.

This 8-year-old, toothless little gentleman is sweet, mellow, and just a bit shy. He prefers quiet homes, gentle voices, and calm people. He's not a fan of loud noises, being picked up, or super energetic pets - he's here for peaceful vibes only, thank you very much. But with adults or older kids who go at his pace, he's a total lovebug.

Matty will wander over for pets, then curl up nearby like your tiny, silent shadow. He rarely meows, has perfect litter habits (better than most roommates), loves sunbeams, bedtime snuggles, and feather-duster toys. And yes, his curly tail and gummy smile are as adorable as they sound!
