National Farmers Day
Today is National Farmer's Day and we want to spotlight our incredible Farm Manager de David Santiago and the rest of our hard-working team!
We have been so lucky to have David with Re:Vision for the past 10 years. David fronted our original urban farm transformation, converting a deserted junkyard into the beautiful ⅓-acre campus farm we have today. Because of David’s knowledge, expertise, and dedication to Re:Vision’s mission, we have experienced successful harvests every year since 2016.
We are also incredibly grateful for our dedicated team of Promotoras caring for our urban and family gardens. Our staff and community mean everything to us, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.

¡Hoy es el Día Nacional del Agricultor y queremos destacar a nuestro increíble gerente agrícola, David de Santiago, y al resto de nuestro equipo trabajador!
Hemos tenido mucha suerte de tener a David con Re:Vision durante los últimos 10 años. David lideró la transformación de nuestra granja urbana original, convirtiendo un depósito de chatarra abandonado en la hermosa granja universitaria de ⅓ de acre que tenemos hoy. Gracias al conocimiento, la experiencia y la dedicación de David a la misión de Re:Vision, hemos experimentado cosechas exitosas todos los años desde 2016.
También estamos increíblemente agradecidos por nuestro dedicado equipo de Promotoras que cuidan nuestros jardines urbanos y familiares. Nuestro personal y nuestra comunidad lo son todo para nosotros y no podríamos hacer lo que hacemos sin ellos.

As a member of the Southwest Food Coalition @southwest_food_coalition, we were proud to see our work was shared by @councilwomantorres at the 2025 Department of Public Health and Environment budget hearing to emphasize the need for a Food Justice Fund.
Food access is an ongoing issue in our Southwest Denver community that we are combatting with our urban farms, family gardens, and No-Cost Grocery supporting over 850 families weekly. A Food Justice Fund would create sustainable funding to address food insecurity and help build and sustain food access resources across Denver.
Although a Food Justice Fund is not included in the mayor’s initial 2025 budget, we are proud to be part of the conversation and campaign towards food sovereignty for our community. Thank you @councilwomantorres for highlighting our work and speaking for food justice.

Como miembro de la Coalición Alimentaria del Suroeste @southwest_food_coalition, nos enorgulleció ver que nuestro trabajo fue compartido por @councilwomantorres en la audiencia sobre el presupuesto del Departamento de Salud Pública y Medio Ambiente de 2025 para enfatizar la necesidad de un Fondo de Justicia Alimentaria.
El acceso a los alimentos es un problema constante en nuestra comunidad del suroeste de Denver que estamos combatiendo con nuestros huertos urbanos y familiares y con comestibles sin costo que apoyan a más de 850 familias semanalmente. Un Fondo de Justicia Alimentaria crearía financiación sostenible para abordar la inseguridad alimentaria y ayudar a crear y mantener recursos de acceso a los alimentos en todo Denver.
Aunque el Fondo de Justicia Alimentaria no está incluido en el presupuesto inicial del alcalde para 2025, estamos orgullosos de ser parte de la conversación y la campaña hacia la soberanía alimentaria para nuestra comunidad. Gracias @councilwomantorres por resaltar nuestro trabajo

On Valentine's Day, we teamed up with Denver Health to bring the Women's Mobile Clinic to the Re:Vision campus.
Screening for breast and cervical cancer is crucial, but accessing health care is a challenge for many in our community.
The Women's Mobile Clinic plus our weekly visits from the Denver Health primary care mobile unit bridges this gap by bringing preventive services to underserved communities even connecting them to additional diagnostics that same day.
