Ivy, you will be so missed. You and your brother were 2 of my very first clients. Our twice-weekly visits (pre-2020) were always a highlight for me. Our visits became fewer, but I always had our week+ slumber party to look forward to in the summers. In true chihuahua fashion, you barked at me at the start of every visit, and if I ever stopped by when your dad was there, you made sure to never stop barking the entire time. You were fierce in your loyalty, but never fierce with those little chompers. I never heard you growl, let alone bare your teeth.

You were a senior already when we first met, but you always had a playful spirit. Even the last time I saw you, a few weeks ago, you absolutely loved our little hallway runs, and tried your darndest to keep up with your speedy brother.

We all know this is a part of life, but that fact doesn’t ever make it easier. I’m grateful to have known you, little one. I hope you’re having the best time sprinting around doggy heaven and enjoying all the best treats. I’m sure you’ve made a friend in my late chihuahua, Collin. You both hold such a special place in my heart. Love you, Ivy 💜

Chihuahuas are tiny little balls of sunshine. I don’t care what anyone else says. Milo 🟤 and Ivy 🟡 are such little sweethearts, and they make my heart melt daily. My first dog as an adult was my very special little chihuahua I named Collin (some of my very first clients got to meet him 🥰), so chihuahuas will always hold a special place in my heart.

Some days it’s too hot to be outside, unless you have a ton of shade and a pool or a sprinkler, so we take short walks, or little rolls in the mulch (like Timmy), and spend the rest of our time playing inside. 😁

I won’t get to walk sweet Manuka again until August, so it feels like a “school’s out for summer” day! I’m going to miss our twice weekly walks for the next 2+ months, and I absolutely can’t wait till “school” starts again! Stanley is her walking buddy (and goofy 🤪 “classmate”, and I know he’s going to miss her company until August, too! 🥰

Meet the newest Lion-Heart team/club/pack-member. Darling is her name, and it fits her so well. Yes, she looks like grumpy cat in the first picture, but she’s the absolute opposite of grumpy. She’s the sweetest little lady, and she made friends with all the pups I walked her with today. She’s a boxer puppy, and it was so sweet to see her with another boxer (mix) Manuka; they really hit it off.
