I just got about 150 tons/cubic yards in stock. It's $100 per 2 cubic yard sack. The size is about Pellet sizes ranging from about one- sixteenth to one quarter inch in diameter. This is a perfect size for footings as it's around the same size as the sand grains, which means it stays mixed in and doesn't rise to the top and need to be harrowed back down to the bottom of the footing, which is where the cushioning is needed.
The material comes from artificial turf and soccer fields when they replace the turf. The rubber is extracted and and offered for sale to the equestrian community. Anything that isn
isn't sold immediately goes to equine rescue groups or organizations that use horses for therapy.
Depending on the qty desired, I may have room to wiggle on price, depending on my urgency to remove the material off the site where the replacement field was installed.
