We are so excited to announce a very special taxidermy class available this November! Learn how to taxidermy birds in this European starling class with guest teacher
“A unique combination of science and style, Divya Anantharaman is an award winning licensed professional preserving animals with honor and compassion for clients ranging from museums, designers, collectors, and everyday naturalists. Her specialties are birds, small mammals, and anatomic anomalies, with a select number of commissions open for pets. Her work seeks to combine the demonstrative aspect of scientific presentation with the symbolic, introspective nature of art, using taxidermy to engage diverse audiences with conservation.”
I have personally taken this taxidermy course by Divya and I can’t stress enough how wonderful and informative it was. Listing is online in our class calendar but please book through the link in the listing description.

Did you know that we have a direct link to a detailed ethics policy in our bio?! Check it out to read about our sustainable sourcing. Something we have worked really hard to establish in a industry that can be questionable at times. Sustainable sourcing is number one for us. Art should be about celebrating life in all of its stages.

Our first craft market of the year is approaching and we are looking for vendors! A friendly reminder that there are absolutely no vendor fees for our markets! It's our way of giving back to the fabulous art community we love so dearly. We encourage all people to apply. To apply follow the directions 👇🏽
Email [email protected] and put "market vendor" in the subject. Send a description of your work and your instagram. Market takes place outside so a 10x10 tent is needed. And it is from 10am-5pm on May 4th.

Our bone processing class is one of our oldest and most beloved offerings. This course is such a great resource for scavengers and people that want alternative ways to process found treasures as opposed to beetle cleaning (we do have a class on beetle cleaning as well)

You learn how to process animals in VARIOUS states of decay. Processing a fresh road kill find is going to be different than processing a picked cleaned bone with just a bit of sinew left.

Learn about maceration, degreasing, whitening, fleshing, the difference between incorrectly boiling and making what we call soup, how to tell if you over processed your bones and so much more.

Taught by our house taxidermist and bone cleaning team. Sign up below 👇🏽

Are you an avid bone collector? Or maybe you're just getting into vulture culture. No matter what your experience level is this class is for you. Taught by Ian, a professional taxidermist and our in house bone processing expert, Ian will teach you the ins and outs of responsible foraging and process...

Our Story

The Terrorium Shop showcases the magical process of decay and regrowth by combining naturally deceased curiosities with verdant living foliage. Inspired by the mossy rocks lining the edge of a Colorado River; the contrast of red sand against a piercing blue sky; and the painted valley of crested butte during the wildflowers first bloom ... we take our favorite elements of nature and capture them in our timeless mini-worlds.
