I’m officially closing the rattery.

It’s been an awesome 17 years of being in the fancy.

I might turn my website into something more informational; focusing on medical, behavioral and breeding theory side of things. We will see. I still want to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the last (nearly) two decades, so I’ll keep this page around to post when I happen to write something.

My friend over at KaiZen Rodentry has wonderful rats, so if you are looking for babies, that’s the person to go to!

A while ago, when I had first tested my rats, I had a positive for E CUN. E CUN, or E. Cuniculi is a type of fungus. You can read more about it online.

Anyways, I did a bit of research and came up with a treatment plan… and it worked! The rats are now negative for E CUN.

At some point I do plan on making a write up on how to treat for E CUN along with CAR B (CAR Bacillus) in the future.

I have been stupidly busy this last year, and next year isn’t going to be much better 🥴 but I’m going to see what I can do to get back into the swing of things. I miss all things rat!
