Tizu was the biggest trooper for his hospitalization sessions with us! He came in and hung out with our staff for some subcutaneous fluids to assist with his abnormal kidney values. Now that he is feeling better and stabilized, he is ready to move forward with at home kidney care! We are so grateful that his owners are such diligent pet owners and have entrusted us with Tizu's care since 2017! ❤️

Miss Charly was all locked in for her laser therapy treatment with us! We are so excited to highlight our December Pet Of The Month: Copper, the 5 month old doodle! 🐾 Copper has certainly been through a lot with us lately, and we are happy to tell his story. On December 6th, Highlands Animal Clinic received a call from Copper's incredible owners, who reported pain & limping after a fall from the couch. The Highlands Animal Clinic team had them come right down to the clinic, where it was discovered Copper had suffered a pretty serious fracture! We got him bandaged up, sent home with some pain control for the weekend, and had him come back down 3 days later, right after the weekend, for surgery ASAP with the goal of repairing his leg. Our phenomenal orthopedic specialist, Dr. Preston Stubbs, made himself immediately available. 💜

While Copper's journey has certainly been a long one, he has been the best boy! He is making a full recovery and has remained in consistent care with Highlands Animal Clinic since the event - no outsourcing needed. We are looking forward to Copper being able to return to his normal puppy activities within the coming weeks! We are appreciative of the fantastic team & the immediate and compassionate care that was offered to Copper, as well as the speedy solution to get Copper feeling his best again. We are also grateful for his incredible owners, who remained level headed, patient, and compliant with Copper's entire treatment plan! When we told them our concerns and heard Copper yelping over the phone, we knew this baby had to be seen ASAP, and they took no hesitation in bringing him down. We look forward to many more great days of watching this little man become the best golden doodle he can be! 💜

We are so excited to highlight our NOVEMBER PET OF THE MONTH!! 🐾❤️ Paisley & Molly have been the most frequent of flyers at our clinic for many years now! These two golden girls of the Highlands have a very special case of chronic UTIs, and their owner, Kaitlin, has been nothing short of diligent in ensuring their quality of life is the best it can be despite this! How many urinalyses have we run now? We have no clue. They have been on every antibiotic we can think of, multiple prescription diets, and trial and errored many more solutions! While we're happy to say they are *mostly* regulated, they continue to be veterans at our practice. We look forward to many more days with these beautiful girls, as well as Kaitlin, who is always such a friendly face to see for our entire staff.

We'd like to introduce everybody to "Moose", who was selected as our October Pet Of The Month!

Moose, even prior to establishing recent care with us, has diligently been brought in by his loving owner, Michael, for what we call Happy Visits! They visit us several days a week to romp around in the yard, have positive engagement with our staff members and solid play time! While Moose is still cautious of us & a bit shy, his bravery and progress has been felt by our entire staff - he's come such a long way! He even has his own designated ball at our front desk! 🎾 Michael's dedication to providing Moose with the most positive experience possible at Highlands Animal Clinic certainly serves as a fantastic example of consistency, diligence, patience, and LOVE for his furriest friend. We look forward to many more happy visits with them both as we continue to build a long term relationship with Moose! ❤️🐾
