A little over a year ago we rescued Ruby from H4 kill pen in Bastrop, Louisiana. Bottom pic. She is enjoying her new life and qualified for Colonial Classic Horse Show in Devon and placed 11 th out of 45 horses! Congratulations Ruby! Also to Courtney and Emily for all the rehabbing and training to make this day possible. ❤️

A little over a year ago Ruby was standing in the kill pen as a thought to be pregnant thoroughbred mare. We got her out and found out she was not pregnant just very wormy giving her the look of being pregnant. Here she is a year later worm free and at a good weight looking amazing! She is currently doing awesome in the jumper ring and showing how amazing a rescue horse can be. We can't wait to see how far she goes!

Sassy was put at a processing plant to be shot because she foundered (not even a bad founder). The guys there couldn't do it because she was too sweet and sent her to a Amish man who we get hay from. He called and asked if we would take her that he was gonna breed her but his barn was too full and said she was a 3 year old standardbred. We found a tattoo on her lip and someone was able to find her as not a standardbred but a 6 year old imported French thoroughbred. Rescue horses are just about always worth being given a chance.

Roxy is a 5 year old Pomsky. This happy gorgeous girl has blue eyes and weighs about 30 lbs. She walks nice on a leash and is well socialized. She is good with kids but is a dominant female so would do best as the only dog. She is microchipped, up to date with shots, deworming, flea prevention and spayed.

We've had Duke (152) for a little over a year now and he's doing amazing. It's hard to believe he's only 5 and came from a kill pen. He went to a trainer over the summer and came back a different horse. He has a lot of speed so we plan to start him on the barrel pattern. So far we've gotten him used to the barrel moving around and walking around it. More updates to come on this amazing boy

I just wanted to post a update and thank you everyone who helped donate to save these two from H4 in Louisiana. They are in quarantine now and just had a farrier out to have their feet done. Duke the bay in teal is healthy other than a little bit of an upper respiratory so far. He is jumpy and skittish which is understandable considering where he’s from. Rusty the sorrel in grey was said to be kicked in kill pen but it looks like he was caught in a fence and his old owners sent him to auction because they didn’t want to treat his injuries. He has the abscess on his back right leg and he has really bad rain rot. He’s thin and needs to gain weight and has a little bit of a upper respiratory.
