Starting off the year with a wonderful pace. 13 left Saturday to Rescues up north. Another transport coming up next week ♥️ Adoptions picking up.

Last year I started tossing the idea of a weekend vacation for the pound pooches. This will require a lot responsibility from those wanting to check out a pup for the weekend. No unsupervised turnouts. Leash walked only or fenced yard! Proper introductions between our dogs and your pets. Kenneled inside only. No outside ♥️

You will be able to pick a neutered/spayed dog of your choice. We will provide food and a kennel for the weekend. You will check them out Friday and return them Monday.

We want you to see the phenomenal pooches that we see daily. A chance for one on one. You will be able to provide vital information that we can in turn give to potential adopters.

And if you fall in love, which we hope you do, and want to adopt we would be absolutely ecstatic.

Boyd who came to us as a small puppy got his forever home today! I thought his 1st birthday was next month but I received this email this morning. How incredible! What an amazing birthday present for him. 😭💙💙💙 Sorry it took so long sweet boy but you will have the best home! Thank you Sam for choosing adoption and for choosing Boyd. 🥰💙

I would like to take the time to wish Mrs. Cathy Bissell a Happy Birthday.
From transports, a new building, kennels, our spay/neuter programs for shelter pets, income based program, so much more i can't even put in to words the amount of support you've provided. We are so blessed and thankful for YOU. I can not thank you enough for changing the lives of so many and the changes you have made in our Parish and our State. This is your day. I received the greatest news yesterday!!! Tomorrow... Monday... Boyd FINALLY gets a H.O.M.E!!!!! I am holding back all the tears, but tomorrow I may not be able to. I'm so incredibly happy and so thankful. 😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍

Meet lily. She came to us with a severely injured leg that required amputation. Her body in horrific condition. Thank you to Cathy Bissell and The BISSELL Pet Foundation for getting her the care that she needs. Follow us for updates. Once healed she will be up for adoption to the best home possible. We don't know who failed her but we are here to mend all the wounds we can't see.
