Yesterday we had these 10 puppies found abandoned at Bundick Lake. Thank goodness some good Samaritans brought them to us. Who knows what would have happened to them if not rescued. They are tiny and defenseless. This is why we do not want to close HSWL's doors. There are people who believe HSWL should close their doors for good. We are more determined than ever because we know there are animals out there who need our help.
We are still looking for monetary donations to help us keep the doors open. To those who believe in us and want us to stay open THANK YOU

These are the dogs and cats who will be at Petsmart in Àlexandria, Louisiana tomorrow from 10 to 3 p.m.
HSWL adoption fee is $150 for dogs/puppies, and $125 for cats/kittens. This fee covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm preventative.

NO pre-adoptions by phone. You must meet us at the PetSmart in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Thank you to all who have donated to HSWL through PayPal. Every little bit helps. We are still seeking monetary donations for HSWL to stay open. It's looking pretty bleak right now. Mz Rita helped a lot of people when she was alive. Now, the tables are turned and HSWL needs your help. I don't think people realize she spent a lot of her own money to keep HSWL open. This post is very difficult to write. HSWL is having to stop the intake of animals right now. However, we will take an animal depending on a dire situation. We can never turn our backs on that. We need time to build up our money situation. Adoptions have not been good last 4 to 5 months. We appreciate those who regularly shop at our garage sale Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. That money helps tremendously.

Mz Rita built up this Humane Society and we are hoping the doors do not close. At least we have managed to stay afloat a year after her death.

We are pleading for money donations to keep HSWL open. If it's just $1.00. Any amount you would love to give would be great. 💕. Remember, this is for all the animals that come through HSWL'S door. 😸🐶
