Happy Halloween! With the excitement of trick or treaters we also want to think about our pups! Here’s some tips on how to keep your pup happy and safe on Halloween 🎃

1)Take your dog out earlier in the day for a walk or a trip to the park so you can tire them out and they'll be less likely to react to the excitement

2) Keep them occupied with a puzzle or a chew to distract them during the trick or treating hours

3) Using commands lke "sit, "stay", "go to your place" and having practicing those commands will help your dog follow directions and reduce the chaos

4)Practice before the celebration. Try having a family member or friend come in the door after ringing the doorbell and practice that routine

5) Make sure to reward your dog for good behavior so they will repeat it! 👻

We hosted our Obedience 2 class test for the Canine Good Citizen certification last night, and we’re excited to share that every team excelled! 🌟

Each dog not only earned their CGC (Canine Good Citizen) but also their CGCA (Canine Good Citizen Advanced), showcasing their hard work and dedication. A big shoutout to Rosie, Bailey, Ranger, Atlas, Iggy, Ru, and Willie for their outstanding achievements! We couldn’t be prouder of you all! 🫶💜

Meet Lola, a true testament to the power of dedication and hard work in dog training!🐶 When Lola first came to us, her recall wasn’t reliable, which meant her off-leash adventures were limited—distractions such chasing a squirrel and not coming back, made it dangerous and nerve wracking to have her in that environment. This lack of reliable recall kept her from fully exploring and enjoying the world as dogs naturally love to do.

Through consistent e-collar conditioning and a lot of patience from her owners, Lola’s recall skills have improved dramatically. Now, she’s able to roam freely, sniffing and exploring to her heart’s content, all while her owners can confidently let her off-leash knowing she’ll return when called. This new freedom has given Lola a fantastic outlet for her energy and has transformed her walks into joyful adventures.

It’s amazing to see how much happier and more relaxed Lola is with this newfound trust and freedom. Kudos to her dedicated owners for their hard work and commitment!

Herky is one of our board and train dogs! He’s here to work on potty training, reactivity, leash skills, and basic obedience.

We highly recommend the board and train program for those who travel but still need training, and those who don’t have the time every week to make appointments.
