To Our Beloved Pet Parents,

The past few weeks have been especially heavy for our team as we’ve said goodbye to some cherished furry friends and learned of others who’ve crossed the rainbow bridge unexpectedly. Each of these sweet souls left paw prints not only on your hearts but also on ours.

With the holidays approaching, we know how much more tender these losses can feel. We’re often reminded of the unique ways our pets made this time of year brighter—the excitement they showed as we decorated, their curiosity with gift wrapping, and the quiet moments of comfort they provided in the midst of the season’s busyness.

Please know that we are holding you close in our hearts during these tough times. Whether your loss is recent or years past, the absence of a beloved pet is felt deeply, especially now. We miss them alongside you.

From all of us at Fleur Pet Hospital, we send our love and support to those grieving. Your pets have been a part of our family too, and they will never be forgotten. 🌈

Warm Wishes,
Dr. Williams & The Crew 💕

Last, but not least for staff appreciation week is Madi, our outstanding Practice Manager who has been with us for a year in December! She is the glue that keeps things together as we are all busy running around taking care of our furry and feathery friends. From the minute she accepted the job, I knew I was in great hands. Knowing nothing about managing a veterinary hospital, Madi has exceeded my expectations in all areas of her job. She dug right in, quickly learned about veterinary medicine and reorganized the entire office. In the brief time she has been here she has done so much for increasing accuracy, keeping control of inventory, managing staff and so many other tasks. We could not do it without her!

Madi has a master's in social work from UNI so she excels at creating a harmonious team at the clinic. She says once she found her way into the veterinary field she has loved every minute of it! Anyone who walks into the clinic will be able to see the comradery and positive team she has helped build. She loves working with our team and all the animals that walk through our doors.

Madi lives with a long-haired grey cat called “Stubby” who was passed down to her from her grandpa and he was born with a small stub tail. She calls him her grumpy ‘ole man. He only has eyes for her and her boyfriend Kenneth. Stubby obviously is a great judge of character!

During her free time, Madi and Kenneth enjoy long walks looking at fancy houses and having dinners with friends at their favorite Mexican restaurants. They also enjoy trying new recipes together on a weekly basis. Madi is extremely talented at baking beautiful cakes, cheesecakes, and the best cookies around. Luckily, she likes to share them with us!

Madi is truly a blessing as a leader of the team. She is my right-hand gal and I could not do it without her! Thank you for everything you do for us daily!

Next up for staff appreciation is Kayleigh, our wonderful receptionist who has been with us for over a year! She’s the friendly voice you hear when you call and the first smiling face you see when you walk through the door. We’re so lucky to have her organizing our busy schedules and welcoming every client with warmth and care.

Kayleigh's love for animals runs deep—she’s always felt more at home in their company than with people, and her fascination with how their bodies work, especially exotic animals like birds and reptiles, led her to the veterinary field. She thinks they’re neat (we agree!). 🦎🐍

At home, Kayleigh has a full house of pets! Sox, her Jack Russell/Yorkie mix, loves chewing up dog beds, while Pumpkin Spice, her kitty, is all about belly rubs. She also has two Kenya sand boas—Asmodeus, who will eat right out of your hand, and Kathulu, who thinks he’s arboreal! 🐍

After a busy day at the clinic, Kayleigh likes to unwind by playing video games with her partner—anything from The Sims 4 to post-apocalyptic adventures like Project Zomboid. 🎮 She’s also an incredibly talented artist and runs a side business creating custom drawings and characters!

Her favorite movie is Jurassic Park (1993, of course), and her favorite shows include The Owl House, Gravity Falls, and Adventure Time. When it comes to snacks, Kayleigh loves DOTS and Red Doritos, and her favorite color palette is pastel rainbow, with a special love for pink. 🌈

A fun fact about Kayleigh? She can wiggle her ears without touching them! And she absolutely adores the Sanrio character Cinnamoroll. 😄

Kayleigh is truly the backbone of our front office. Her calm and organized approach helps us manage the craziness of our schedule and last-minute client needs with ease. She has an exceptional way of making everyone—both pets and people—feel welcome and in good hands. 💖

Thank you for all you do, Kayleigh! We appreciate you so much! 🌟

In honor of Boss’s Day we’re celebrating the incredible Dr. Lisa Williams, the driving force behind Fleur Pet Hospital and the best boss we could ask for! Not only does she take care of our clients and their pets with the utmost compassion, but she also leads our team with warmth, understanding, and an unwavering dedication to making Fleur feel like a home for all of us.

Here’s what our team has to say:

💬 Kayleigh: “I've never met a more caring and understanding boss who treats me like her own family member. She never fails to make me smile and laugh every day I come into work. Dr. Williams makes coming to work feel like coming home.”

💬 Madi: “Working closely with Dr. Williams every day has been such a privilege. Sharing an office with her, I've witnessed firsthand how much she truly cares about her staff, clients, and patients. She has fostered an amazing work environment where we all genuinely enjoy coming in every day. She leads by example with kindness, patience, and humor, and it’s clear she’s created something truly special at Fleur Pet Hospital.”

💬 Kelsey: “This was my very first job after becoming an RVT, and I couldn't have asked for a better mentor. I’m so grateful for all of the knowledge Dr. Williams has passed down to me over the years, helping me grow in ways I never thought possible. Her willingness to teach and share her expertise has made me the technician I am today.”

💬 Caralynn: “Dr. Williams has shown me so much kindness from the moment I walked into her clinic. I knew right away that we would get along great. She is so bright, full of life and has immense love for her profession. Every patient I have helped her with has received love and care as if they were her very own. I am proud to work with Dr. Williams and to be able to assist her in caring so greatly for our patients.”

Dr. Williams, thank you for being the amazing leader that you are. We appreciate your kindness, wisdom, and the way you make Fleur Pet Hospital such a special place. You truly treat us like family, and we’re so lucky to work alongside you. 💖

We're so excited to introduce Caralynn, the newest addition to the Fleur Pet Hospital family! She’s been in veterinary medicine for 7 years, inspired by her great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother, who raised her in a vet clinic. Her love for animals runs deep, and she’s passionate about being their voice and advocating for their care.

Caralynn and her partner Codys' lives are filled with fur babies—6, to be exact! Together they share three cats: Leo, the cuddliest orange boy; Shiva, who loves "uppies" and head boops; and Judy, the youngest who likes to boss around her older siblings. They also have three dogs: Leeroy, the adventurous water-loving pup; Dorothy, Caralynn's tiny girl who thinks she’s a big dog (Dorothy is the cutie featured in the picture above!); and Bart, a Chihuahua-Heeler mix who lives for rough play and food. 🐾

After a long day at the clinic, Caralynn loves to unwind by relaxing in her hammock with her dogs, soaking in the sounds, smells, and sights of nature. 🌿 Her favorite movies are Interstellar and The Butterfly Effect, her favorite color is green, and when it comes to snacks, she can’t go wrong with fruits and Snickers.

A fun fact about her that her coworkers may not know? She was born with an extra lumbar vertebra—her very own “L6”! 😉

In just 4 weeks, Caralynn has already become an integral part of our team. She brings invaluable knowledge, an incredible sense of humor, and fits in so perfectly with the rest of us. We couldn’t be happier to have her, and we know our clients will love her too! 💚

We’re kicking off Staff Appreciation Week by shouting out Kelsey, our amazing lead technician! 🌟

Kelsey has been working in veterinary medicine for 13 years, and her passion for animals is what led her to this career. After her first dog, JT, passed away at 15, Kelsey wanted to understand why and how. That deep connection with animals and her desire to make a difference inspired her to go to school and become a registered veterinary technician. Now, she’s an absolute pro at keeping our furry friends happy and healthy!

When Kelsey isn’t at the clinic, you can find her watching classic 80s and 90s movies like Uncle Buck and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off or bingeing shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charmed. She also enjoys outdoor activities like walking, weightlifting, and spending time with her family and friends. For a little relaxation, she loves coloring in her favorite books. 🎨

At home, Kelsey has two adorable Jack Rat dogs, Oakley and Milo. Oakley is all about food, treats, and car rides—he even knows when a pup cup is coming, even if she spells it out! Milo is her snuggle buddy, always ready to smile and play fetch with his cookie toy.

Kelsey’s favorite color is purple, and her go-to snacks are peanut M&Ms and ice cream—yum! 🍬🍦

Her incredible work ethic, calm demeanor, and love for animals make her an irreplaceable part of our team. Whether she’s whipping up delicious coffees for her and the team or sharing her sense of humor, she keeps us all going. Kelsey, we appreciate everything you do! 💜
