Meet Gunner and Cookie 🐾

Gunner is a German Shepherd working on reactivity with people and dogs as well as solidifying some on and off leash obedience!

Cookie is a mixed breed and working on some resource guarding issues, her family wants to make sure they have the skills to prevent her from potentially getting a dangerous object and if cookie does get ahold something she shouldn’t have that they can get it back from her safely. As well as on and off leash manners.

Kallie is new to our puppy foundation program! She’s a very hyper puppy living with 2 older dogs, as well as a new baby brother so it’s very important she learns her manners early! She’s off to a great start and we’re so excited to have her in the program!

With the warm weather we’ve got coming up, we want to remind everyone that the pavement gets extremely hot! Burnt paw pads are not fun for you or your furry friend! Remember to check the weather and if your unsure on if it’s to hot for your furry friend to take a stroll you can check by putting the palm of your hand flat on the concrete, can you keep it there for 60seconds? If so your good to go! If it’s to hot for your hand, it’s to hot for their paws!

When penny started our reactive dog program she was pulling at the end of the leash, barking, crying, and couldn’t focus on her handler.
NOW penny can be calm while off leash and on leash around our demo dog Eris. She’s actively coming back to her handler when called and she’s been SO much happier having a friend to run and explore with!

Demo dog Eris helping penny learn to be around another dog. Previously penny was very reactive and aggressive towards other dogs. It didn’t take long for penny to realize Eris was not a threat and she could just relax and enjoy the beautiful weather we’ve been having even with Eris around. Good job penny!
