Parents always know best!

Meet Lord Baldemort. His owner brought him in because he was not eating and not acting like a playful kitten. After some hospitalization with TLC, fluids, and hand feeding, he has since perked up and is doing great!

We always love to share a happy success story ♥️

🦟Have you picked up your preventatives yet?

☀️While we are very much enjoying the warmer temps so are the fleas and ticks! Don’t leave your pet unprotected from these nasty parasites. We all love our furry family members but the last thing we want is them bringing unwanted guests into the house.

📱Give us a call and we can get some together for you or get you an appointment with one of our veterinarians to discuss the best prevention for your pet, 515-285-5523

🚨Important Microchip info🚨

Save This Life microchip has unexpectedly shut down and their database is no longer accessible. This means that if your pet has been microchipped with one of their chips then that number is no longer searchable in their system.

If you have a Save This Life microchip we encourage you to re-register your pets chip number with any of the companies below to keep their microchip active and linked to your contact info.

*At SDMVC we only use Home Again microchips.

❄️Indoor play areas/Doggy daycares
❄️Puzzle games and toys
❄️Inviting four legged friends over for an in home play date

🐾We love all of our patients, but it’s sure fun to see rare pets!
🦎This is Mildew, he is a juvenile bearded dragon with some special genetics. He is translucent, and leatherback, which means he has very fine, smooth scales. The white spots are normal, referred to as “pied”, which is a genetically recessive trait that can occur in many reptiles!
♥️He was recently adopted and his family brought him in to see Dr. Austin for a wellness check. Look how perfect he is! Welcome home, buddy!

📱Dr. Austin would love to see all of your fuzzy, scaled, and feathered family members! Give us a call, 515-285-5523, to set up an appointment with her!
