Doggone, it’s getting HOT!
Did you know dogs don’t full body sweat like humans and can suffer heatstroke far more easily? Here are few ways to keep your dog safe when they do go outside.
☀️Go on walks early or late in the day.
☀️Check the temperature of the ground they will be walking on, if it’s to hot to touch it’s to hot for their paws
☀️Provide fresh water. Kiddie pools and doggy ice treats or frozen peanut butter Kongs are great fun, help to keep them cool, and provides mental enrichment
☀️if they are hanging out outside with you make sure they have a shady area to rest in.
We think Kevin’s idea of playing in the sprinkler is a great idea to help beat the heat!
