🐾Each year is another opportunity to grow, learn, heal, and care for all your wonderful pets. We have been so fortunate to have some of the very best clients/pet parents in the world who allow us to care for and love their pets as our own. And the best patients who make coming to work everyday easy and also gives us our “why”.

♥️The team at SDMVC is one of a kind. Their compassion for their patients, clients, and each other helps make even the hardest days easier. Each one brings a unique personality and strength to the table that makes the clinic run like a well oiled machine. And the bond between them is remarkable. Doggone, it’s getting HOT! Did you know dogs don’t full body sweat like humans and can suffer heatstroke far more easily? Here are few ways to keep your dog safe when they do go outside. ☀️Go on walks early or late in the day. ☀️Check the temperature of the ground they will be walking on, if it’s to hot to touch it’s to hot for their paws ☀️Provide fresh water. Kiddie pools and doggy ice treats or frozen peanut butter Kongs are great fun, help to keep them cool, and provides mental enrichment ☀️if they are hanging out outside with you make sure they have a shady area to rest in. We think Kevin’s idea of playing in the sprinkler is a great idea to help beat the heat!
