Did you know a tooth can look perfectly healthy but under the gum line it can be diseased and painful for your pet. The only way to see under that gum line is with dental radiographs. Getting your pet's teeth cleaned routinely, which includes dental radiographs, can help keep their mouths healthy and pain free!

A note from Dr. Austin about rabbits: Raising healthy rabbits is best done by astute owners who can notice subtle behavior changes, because rabbits are a prey species they do a very good job at hiding illness. Paying close attention and knowing your rabbit well can help you to identify these changes and the sooner they are seen by a doctor the higher chance for a successful recovery!

Bearded Dragons are a great starter reptile, but they do have many quirks and they are very good at hiding illness. Like many pets, if properly cared for, they can live for 10-15 years. Bearded Dragons, and any other exotic pet, needs to be examined by a Veterinarian to ensure you have the optimal setup and nutrition!

Doggone, it’s getting HOT! Did you know dogs don’t full body sweat like humans and can suffer heatstroke far more easily? Here are few ways to keep your dog safe when they do go outside. ☀️Go on walks early or late in the day. ☀️Check the temperature of the ground they will be walking on, if it’s to hot to touch it’s to hot for their paws ☀️Provide fresh water. Kiddie pools and doggy ice treats or frozen peanut butter Kongs are great fun, help to keep them cool, and provides mental enrichment ☀️if they are hanging out outside with you make sure they have a shady area to rest in. We think Kevin’s idea of playing in the sprinkler is a great idea to help beat the heat!
