Little Miss Kate has been back for some polishing up on those skills while her Mama was visiting on a hunting trip! Kate is from Califoria and was happy to have her coat and her jammie’s along on those cool days! Kate is SUPER SMART, which can be a challenge a well as a blessing because she finds any “crack” left for options so we worked hard to fill in those spaces and get her even better!

Kate flew out with her mom this morning and was excited to see her mom at the airport! I always love their visits (and the homemade cookies!)

He’s BACK! It’s been awhile since we have seen Rusty but he’s staying for the weekend so his family can get ready for Christmas without his “help”! Lol. Boy has he gotten big since his last time here! He will turn a year soon so he’s still not done growing!

18 1/2 years and it’s thanks to all of you that choose to be a part of the MYTDOG family with your dogs ❤️. Each day I have the blessing of living a dream, doing what I love and sharing my knowledge, skill and passion with other dog loving people, how can I not be THANKFUL??!!!!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful Midwest fall weather!

It’s hard to believe that it’s already October and we’re just a month and two months away from some of our major holidays where we get to spend lots of time with family and friends! Remember that this can be a stressful time, exciting time for your pets so take steps now to polish up on some of those manners and obedience skills! And remember, if you’re a MYTDOG client, almost all of our programs come with lifetime support so all you have to do is reach out if you have questions or challenges that we can help you with! Or maybe sending your dog for a little tuneup on their training may be helpful, reach out now so we can help you be ready for those holidays and keep that stress, low and enjoyment high!

Look who’s back!!!! But she’s grown up! Kylee is spending the weekend with MYTDOG while the adults are away enjoying a hurricane cruise! 😉. Well, hopefully after the first day it is now just a cruise!!!Kylee is quite the entertainment, check out that video!! Love this girl!

PINK!!! HOT and LIGHT Pink Ruff Land Performance Kennels order are going to open and be available starting OCTOBER 1!!!

I would like to place this order by Monday, October 7th at noon!!! To place and order you must pay a deposit of $150. Your remaining balance will be do when I am notified of shipping and billed from Ruffland.

This little CALIFORNIA GIRL is a house guest for the next 2+ weeks while we work together to get her manners and obedience in order! Kate is a rescue that came from Texas so she’s down been a little traveler in her 9mo’s on this earth and will get to have lots more travel adventures with her amazing owner once she’s “travel ready”!

This little sweetie is going to be fun!

Seriously, I’m just blown away by this boy! My approach to competing is always expect that you do your best and where ever that lands us, be thankful! Now that doesn’t mean I’m not competitive, it means I recognize that once we are on that dock, I have a part but without him, there is no game to play, no competition without the one that does the real work and is the true competitor! I look how we compete by setting individual goals, ones that may have to do with being connected/ in sync, with stride or placement, with timing things right on and off the dock, and with me doing my part with reaction time……….

So for SPEED RETRIEVE today I had these goals:

1. HOLD ON! 😉

2. Get a good set in the box. With Trexx there is a feeling when we have this and we did today!!

3. Count the lights but don’t push to hard the first run so we have a score. Second run push hard!

4. Shooting for a run of 5.4 seconds….. and that asking for a pretty slim margin of error with reaction and a good swim but that was a goal.

RUN 1: , the crowd was crazy and so was Trexx but he was ready and set up in the back or the box without and wrestling holds to make sure I didn’t lose him. 😉🤣. Was able to set him up in our normal hold and when I felt him locked in, I nodded…….. red, yellow, green GOOOOO!

The boy flew out of my hands like rocket, hit the end of the dock and a nice straight swim….

“Reaction time .14x and swim time 5.341!!”

HOLY CRAP! Well we hit the goal so next run was time for me to push my part, get that better reaction time!

RUN 2: Trexx was fired up! We set up, nod for the lights, deep breath and count……. GOOOOOO!

“Reaction time .020 and run time 5.405!!!

Happy dance for my little man, I’m so proud!

And I have to say I was so thrilled to be followed in line by a favorite team of Cindy Ferguson and HIT! Their first run Cindy ran a .33x rt with a 5.6xx but I knew they would be coming back with something special run 2! Trexx and I stood near the dock screaming and cheering and when Hit left the dock the jump was BIG and it was one of those you can tell was fast and so good!!!! We were thrilled for then when we heard 4.8xx seconds!!! Way to go HIT

What an incredible round of SPEED! ❤️❤️❤️

HOLY BUCKETS!!!! The little T-Rex is becoming a monster to hold on the dock! Two FS because he’s jumping on the light change and pulling me forward, almost over! 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣. I’ll take that enthusiasm and drive, I just am going to have to find some adjustment to makes sure he doesn’t slip away, pull me over and we can get in sync. It’s ALL GOOD though because he’s IN HEAVEN!!!

We will run again at 1pm ……. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻, we need a score!
