Ok, I have been getting tons of calls, texts and emails wanting a completion date. It’s been 4 months since the majority of hunting seasons have ended. My oldest mount on the books is from September, all work orders state estimated completion is 12 months depending on species and back log. Please be patient as each of these requests slows me down and it makes everyone wait longer for their mount.

Rick was a fantastic person, I first met him in 1997 when my dad had his first deer mounted. Once I started doing taxidermy he was who I looked up to and who I asked for tips to make the best mount I could. After he decided to retire I used to go visit and hear his hunting and fishing stories, covid stopped those visits and limited it to phone conservations as I did not want to get him or his wife sick.

I am already receiving numerous calls, text, emails in regards to updates on mounts. I know everyone is excited to get their mounts back but please be patient, the more of these that I have to answer the longer it will take to get everyones mount done.

I am sitting with roughly 220 mounts on the books right now. The oldest mounts not completed are spring bear rugs. I am already working on this seasons birds/deer/euros/soft tans.

We will be open for drop offs this weekend 12/2-12/3 starting at 10am, I will be hunting in the mornings both days with my family but should be back around 12-1 each day. While I am out my wife will be accepting deer for me and taking deposits.

If you have questions in regards to poses, habitat, hangers etc I will call you when I am back to hammer out those details. If you message this page she will be able to respond if I am unable to.

IMPORTANT:
FIRST: CALL THE IOWA DNR TO REPORT YOUR DEER AND GET CONFIRMATION NUMBER WRITTEN ON YOUR DNR HARVEST TAG

SECOND: CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK!! YOU WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL TAG FOR YOUR DEER. IF YOU TRY DROPPING OF YOUR DEER FIRST YOU WILL BE DIRECTED TO RETURN TO THE OFFICE AND YOUR DEER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SPOT IN LINE.

On a full carcass deer, the straight cuts are from YOUR animal and any ground meat is commingled. We take great care in processing all meat to create a quality product.

~Straight cut processing is $125. ($100 deposit) Straight cut processing covers getting your deer skinned, b***d out, and ground. This payment would also cover straight deer cuts of roasts, steaks, tenders, whole loins or butterfly chops and straight ground deer if you choose these selections. $100.00 payment down due at check in.
~Specialty items such as sticks or summer sausage cost extra. Cost for specialty items will be due at the time of pick up.
~We accept field dressed full carcass deer with the hide left on.
~Deer need to be tagged properly. The wider tag is the
transportation tag and would be attached to the head. The thin tag needs to be attached to the leg of the deer.
~Do NOT hindquarter leg tendons. Cutting the tendons will result in a $100.00 extra charge. (We cannot hang the deer if those are cut.)
~Customers will be notified via text message when their order is complete. Completed orders must be picked up within 10 days of notification. If not picked up within that time frame, they will be subject to storage fees of $5.00 per tray per day.

Get ahold of me and give me the tag info and your contact information.
Drop it off let them know I will pick up your cape, then go back out and fill any tags your party has left!!

This service is only available for deer they cape for shoulder mounts. If you are wanting a european mount they ask that you take the head with you.
