GREAT NEWS: The horses at the ARL got a holiday gift this week – a move to our new 21+ acre ranch!
The horses are settling in and enjoying the spacious paddock space after moving day on Monday. Once renovations are complete, the new Second Chance Ranch will feature pasture areas, indoor and outdoor arenas, and other amenities to support the well-being of these horses and the other barn animals in our care.

ROXIE UPDATE: Thanks to you, Roxie is on the road to recovery! With good medical care and nutritious food, her weight and skin are improving … and recently, our medical team approved Roxie to go to a foster home!
As you can see in the video, Roxie is not only continuing to heal, she's loving every minute of life with her foster family. When she's not napping, she loves following her foster family around the house, going on car rides or sniffy walks, and spending time with the family's four resident dogs. She also loves snacks!
Our medical team continues to oversee Roxie's care and is in close contact with her foster family to ensure all her medical needs are met. While she still has a long way to go, she's making progress, and it's all because you were there for her when she needed you most.

We have a half-mile walking trail that circles our Main campus and is used year-round for walking our dogs. The dogs LOVE spending time outside and it’s an easy way to change the lives of dogs looking for homes!
Worried about having time to volunteer? You can sign up for any time you want to come walk dogs, even if it’s just an hour at a time! No matter how many dogs you walk, you’ll make a difference for each and every one.
