Chaz!
Chaz is a 35 year old White Handed Gibbon. Gibbons are lesser apes, not monkeys. Chaz is a blonde color compared to Siam who is a brown color. Her favorite snacks are apples and bananas. She also loves to look at her reflection!

Butta!
Butta is a 13 year old Meishan pig. She weighs around 150 kg (~330 lbs). Her diet consists of a tub of scraps but her favorite snacks are banana peels, melon skins, and squash. She receives a oil massage in the winter season everyday to keep her skin from getting dry. During the summer season, she receives a sunscreen massage everyday to keep her from not burning while out in sun. She is also target and scale trained. Butta really loves belly rubs!

Anastasia
Anastasia is one of three Emus at the zoo. Her favorite snack is grapes. She loves to be misted by her keepers. She hatched at the zoo on May 2nd, 2006. Her and another female are named after the step sisters on Cinderella. She also lays dark green eggs!
She did enjoy her birthday cake🎂

Peabody!
Peabody is 9 years old. With no pain, he has a cataract in his left eye which makes him blind. His favorite treat is peanuts!
On World Monkey Day, we wanted to feature one of the Zoo’s Japanese Snow Macaques “Gigi” interacting with an enrichment device. Keepers utilize enrichment devices like this puzzle feeder to keep animals mentally and physically stimulated and healthy. 📸: Jen Penas
