If anyone can help temporarily foster this sweet dog “Tilly” Weds 11/6 - Tuesday 11/12 we will supply all the tools and food, etc.

I can then take her in on Tuesday 11/12.

She’s doing very well in a kennel and no poor reactions to other dogs around.

She’ll be getting vaccinated, etc., tomorrow and seems healthy overall just exhausted. 🐾💛🐾

Unfortunately no chip,collar or tags😢

Who’s looking for an adventure buddy!?!

Jojo is ready for her forever adventure family!! Hiking, biking, kayaking and couch potato adventures are her main skills!! Oh and snackies! 🐾💛🐾

Tigger is very much loved by his family and they do not want to surrender him because he will die on June 23. He has family in Georgia who will adopt him while his parents get back on their feet and we would like to help him get there! Welcome Miss Pepper! 🐾💛🐾

🏕️ At only 6+months old Pepper is just beginning her training journey and her mom wants to make sure she’s ready for any adventure they set out on!!

🛶. Since mom loves enjoying the Arizona outdoors whether hiking, kayaking or doing a desert clean-up (shout out to ) she wants to make sure Pepper can join in the fun safely and reliably in all situations!

🐕 Setting boundaries with your dog teaches them what’s allowed and what’s not.

Don’t make excuses for your dogs behavior or let it’s past hold you both back.

🐕‍🦺 Dog ownership is not for the faint of heart, you will work one or another.

Don’t let the little thing slide, otherwise they will turn into big problems.

🐩 Asking for help is the best thing you can to have a better life with your dog.

Don’t be ashamed of where you’re at, look forward to where where you’re going.
You are not alone!! 🐾💛🐾

🦮 Have patience with your dog and yourself, change doesn’t happen overnight.

Whatever you do, don’t give up, keep looking for solutions, striving for improvement it will come!!

5️⃣ Tips for Owners Struggling to get Peace in their Home!! 🐕🏡☮️

1️⃣ Make Small Changes, Everyday
Keep it simple, one small change at a time!
Create a routine with expected behaviors and reinforce them consistently.

This makes your success sustainable!

2️⃣ Use a Leash

A leash is the best communication tool that allows you to MOVE your dog and keep everyone and everything SAFE as you build your leash handling skills!!

Most dogs love to play the “chase me” game. By keeping your dog on leash you do not inadvertently create bad habits you’ll have to break later.

Leading your dog around on a leash vs letting them free roam prevents chewing, potty accidents and a plethora of other doggie mischief! 💩

3️⃣ Kennel Train your Dog

A kennel gives your dog a safe place of their own and builds healthy and safe coping skills. It is not a punishment, it has exponential benefits. ⛑️

Kenneling completely mitigates the worry of destructive doggies when you cannot closely monitor your dog’s activities.

4️⃣ Place Train your Dog

Using a place cot or bed is a great companion to kennel training because it helps your dog relax while observing life around them.

The PLACE command gives your dog clear boundaries of where to be and how to act calmly.

Place can be generalized everywhere like outdoor events, coffee shops, kayaks!! 🛶

5️⃣ Stop Naughty Behaviors

Ironically, most dogs only need 1 or 2 proper corrections to change their behavior. Once your dog understands what you do not want them to do it becomes fairly easy to train them what you do want them to do.

Creating peace in your homes starts by establishing clear rules for your dog and ignoring or redirecting the behavior is not clear. A proper punishment is not abuse and does not harm your relationship.
