Beyond the horse is a person-person coaching practice which uniquely partners with horses to provide the services to clients. We are NOT a riding program, but our technique is highly effective for working with people to provide a variety of healing options around multiple areas in life. We practice a technique called the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method®. Services are available for individuals, coup
les, families, groups, and businesses. We are not a therapy program, however we provide services to clients who may or may not be completing a therapeutic program. We can be a great kick-start, stalemate breaker, alternative or addition to a current program for clientele. Every experience is different, but each is full of discovery, connection and empowerment.

The first batch of preordered 2025 Calendars for Wayward Women have arrived and are heading to the post office today! They were sure fun to make and I love that you all love having a little monthly reminder that it’s ok to be a bit sassy!

One thing that I know for sure is that I’ve never stayed on marked trails: for women, business ownership, horsemanship or life. I blaze my own trails whether someone else approves or not and have a dang good time doing my thing.
Last year I had a lot of fun creating the Calendar for Wayward Women. So much fun that I had to do it again!
While at the Wildflowers - ND Verona Market show, there were a lot of Wayward Ladies who approached and gave me a pretty stern talking to for not having the 2025 calendar there and ready for purchase. Anybody else have to give their dually a proper bath before heading to a ladies event?
I’m getting packed up to head to Wildflowers - ND’s Holiday Market in Verona and my poor whip is filthy!
Normally this doesn’t bother me when I jump on board in my jeans and wild rag but today I just might put on a pair of heels for this one of a kind event.
Since I’m behind schedule, I forgot to take the coupon code down for Crews! They’re not loaded up yet, so grab one while I’m still outside in my ranching clothes.

2025 Badlands Cowgirl Retreats offered by Beyond the Horse
I'm honored to share this experience with cowgirls and their horses and I am really looking forward to our 2025 opportunities.

In July of 2023 Guy and I, along with a great group of friends, were on a mountain top somewhere in the Beartooths with bunch of horses and a string of good pack mules.
While up there, a couple of the horses threw a couple shoes. And not one of us, all lifelong horsemen, knew what to do remedy our situation.
Long before we got off the mountain, I set a goal to go and address this blind spot I have had with horses: farrier knowledge.
I looked high and low to find a program that I could fit into my lifestyle. Some were too long, others too short, some had great reviews and others poor. I kept looking.
One day this past June I saw a post that Central Lakes College was offering a program. I quickly looked into it and called the college. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends the last couple months between retreats in western ND, helping facilitate my grandparents move back home, and driving to Pine River 4 days a week but I’m proud to say I’ve completed the program and I’ve come away with so much more than I was expecting!
I’ve not only learned to trim and shoe but I’ve met some lifelong friends along the way. Thank you so much to Dale Underhill for taking me under your wing and teaching me your craft. I’m honored to have learned from you. You’re a heck of a farrier and one heck of a human.
To my girls: The “dream team”. Wow! We had some fun. I will never forget walking into class that first day, expecting the class to be filled with a bunch of 20-something-year old men (not that it would be a bad thing!) but it was quite something to have all of you looking back at me. So much to share and learn from each of you. Talk about empowering.
If you’re like me, thinking “I’m too old”. It’s not true. “I’m not strong or fit enough.” It’s not true. Or “I can’t.” It’s not true.
We can do hard things AND we can do them well.
I’m so looking forward to continuing to improving my skills everyday and incorporating this knowledge into Beyond the Horse, LLC.
Year 40 has been one for the books. As I’m rounding it out I’m reminded that we’re never too old to learn something new or scratch that itch.

I remember when Rachel Johnson had this dream of starting a reading program with horses and kids. And here she is today providing an absolutely amazing experience for kids.
I’m honored that she has shared her journey with me and am BEYOND honored that she took two of my darlings under her wing last week for her Horse Powered Reading Camp (Nephew Frank and Niece/Mini Me Lucy).
If you’ve got a young reader in your life PLEASE send them to this camp. Empowering kids to learn with the help of horses is simply incredible to watch.
